The absolute BEST octopus I have ever had. I absolutely loved the way the octopus was prepared, with a slight charred flavor that wasn't overwhelming. In addition, the cucumbers were simply delicious. They were simple yet fantastic and I absolutely loved the sesame sauce poured over top. This cute place can get packed on the weekends, so I recommend popping in on an off time, grabbing a couple of appetizers to share, and then get back to exploring. I also recommend trying the Orion beer. I've never had this before, and usually go with a Sapporo, but this was delicious and unique.

A small little hole in the wall place that has great sushi. Upon entering, it's not much, and you wouldn't expect much either since it's tucked away. However, I was in for a pleasant surprise when the food came out. The foie gras is to die for. It was worth the price at $15 per order. Very decadent and savory. Melt in your mouth good. The best thing there. Also ordered the salmon sushi roll 5/5, tora don 4/5. Good quality fish at this price. Great experience.

If there’s a reason to visit Boston again, dining at Tora would be it. The place can get super busy and bless the staff for balancing everything! The tuna and salmon belly were melt in the mouth. The unagi eel don was seasoned well and the teriyaki sauce wasn’t overwhelming. The pork belly don was lovely but pieces were sliced a bit thinner than usual. The ambience was unassuming and authentic.

Tucked into a little corner of Chinatown is the most low-key high-delicious sushi spot in the area. The sushi bowls are reasonably priced for the area, between $20-40 depending on your taste in exquisite fish, and come with miso soup. They’re served in elegant Japanese bowls and the presentation of the dish far exceeds the cover price.
