We had guests come in from out of town who wanted some good sushi. We are not from this area but we had some local friends with us who told us that this place was really good. It looks like a little hole in the wall and that it is. Luckily, we made reservations because this place was packed if you look on the outside, you would not believe it but as you walk in this place is busy for a good reason. The sushi is fresh. The servers are very kind and knowledgeable and quick. It’s hard to find good service these days and these people are really doing it all the way around we had a great time. An absolute gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, they play some smooth music over the speakers. The service is top notch, Andersons welcomes you when you enter and says goodbye when you leave. The waitresses are vigilant about serving and your water glass will never be empty. The food is out of this world delicious, the chicken katsu is the best I’ve ever had. The vegetables tempura is fantastic as well. This is the first time I’ve eaten here and I’ll be making a point to revisit this wonderful establishment again in the future. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
I’ve been to most sushi places in Seattle. Considering how friendly the staff was the great quality, this one is overall my favorite. It’s a very casual restaurant but the servers were outstanding and the sushi quality is excellent. We had a nigiri platter and 2 rolls, everything was super fresh…the quality is a tier or two higher than you’d expect. Comparing to some downtown sushi places, Tori’s sushi quality easily beats out Japonessa, Momiji, Matsu, Umi, etc.. It’s also way more approachable. A legitimate neighborhood gem.
The fish is delicious, my salmon sashimi melted in the mouth and the hamachi nigiri was drizzled lightly with some oil and small scallion slices, which really enhanced what was already a fantastic fish. Tried this place for the first time tonight, we got take out but the restaurant was busy and we were greeted when we walked in! I have to say the sushi was amazing! We are very satisfied! We ordered the deluxe California roll and the shrimp tempura roll and it did not disappoint!!! Highly recommend!
Highly recommend! The food here is top tier, Sashimi is fresh, and the service is exceptional. I ordered the King Salmon Lover roll which was delicious, and the miso tasted authentic. Not too salty. Atmosphere was good and overall we had a very positive experience.
Not much good about our experience, order messed up, bad service way more avocado than fish. If you see my photo, it 's their ultimate blue fin roll not sure where the blue fin is though..
