Not a good sign when on a Thursday night, all surrounding restaurants are busy and this one is not. We used to be regular diners years ago at the old Toscanis venue but since giving this one several chances over the past couple of years, I think it is time to give up.Salmon fillet with bones drowning in balsamic, chewy scallopine with an overload of garlic and lumpy potatoes were a disappointment. Service was average at best. I complained about the meals and was promptly given the bill to settle. Just a quick bite is what we were looking for. We were meeting our daughter for lunch during her break. It took nano-seconds to be seated and drinks within minutes, our order was placed quickly but it was 35 minutes before we saw our food. Didn't think two salads and a panini should take that long in a restaurant in a fast paced dining mall. Our daughter was late back to work after picking through her salad and eating the protein. My Caesar was delicious and I'd order again, my husbands panini was pretty good too. Just a damn shame about the length of time from order to eating.
Went in for breakfast and all the staff were running around looking disorganised with a half full restaurant. We waited 10 minutes before asking if our order could be taken. It then took 15 minutes to receive the coffees and a further 25 minutes to get breakfast. When breakfast arrived it was disgusting the bacon was burnt and the scrambled eggs were just scrambled omelette. The whole meal was revolting and we left not eating much off the plate at all and wasting our money
So disappointed with the quality of the food. Huge plate with cold chips two tiny strips of fish which was supposed to be beer battered fish with a side of wilted salad .It definitely was not beer battered fish. Had a horrible taste.Watching the cook pick up the Cold cooked pasta up by hand to put into the frying pan, should have told us not to eat their, No we won't ever eat there again.Because when we told the lady who served us she laughed.

Nearly empty restaurant and got shown to a dirty table - asked waiter to wipe down.Staff v pleasant but need to be more attentive.Ordered Mediterranean breakfast. Eggs cold (!!??) Mushrooms must have been pre-cooked , small portions , rubbery and cold Haloumi. So disappointing. The plus was the staff were v nice, which is why we gave the 3 stars.
I am a regular Toscani's breakfast eater. I've never had a bad meal here and it is always quick service. Staff are always polite. I wouldn't say exceptional service but no real complaints. Price is comparable with other cafe's and I've been allowed to split the bill on most occasions (even with signage saying 1 bill per table).
Spending our last day in Brisbane having traveled from Scotland we choose this resteraunt. 9 of us including 4 children. The service is the worst I have ever experienced anywhere!! Just don't go, bad service, slow service, staff with no manners & to top it all terrible and cold food. Need I say more.
The quality control and training at Toscani' s is clearly very good. Each time we visit we are impressed by the quality of the food and service. We have never had an ordinary experience here and that's why we keep on coming back whenever we are in town!

The food is really bad , tasteless and they bring whatever they want with a different description in the menu. And it takes a vary long time for the food to arrive. The service is too slow too.
Very average food, service was prompt and friendly. So many places mess up a simple salad. I am unlikely to return
