We were so excited to treat my parents to an Italian dinner for their birthday last night, and opted for Toscano's after seeing that Cuckoo's in Coombs was closed. We were the first table to arrive at Toscano's that night. Unfortunately, Toscano's did not meet the mark. We were disappointed on so many levels. First, we ordered the large focaccia bread as an appetizer half of the focaccia was fresh and soft, while the other half was noticeably stale. We mentioned this to our server, who was inattentive at best, and he said he would talk to the kitchen but he never followed up nor did he bring us fresh focaccia.We specifically ordered a certain pasta dish because it was something that my Nonna...
We told the waitress we were splitting all of our order, but when it came, there were no salad tongs to split the salad, and the main meal well, we had to split it ourselves. We're used to getting our meal split (and don't mind paying extra for it) when we share our order. (Obviously not big eaters) The food is great, nevertheless, and not inexpensive. It feels good to support a local business. We can't put our finger on it, but we didn't feel welcome, just served.
what a beautiful evening I had here! I was with a friend on the beautiful terrace in the dawn and we had the cooking menu that was absolutely fabulous! the banter with our server was both funny and lovely, and eating was delicious to say the least! I felt like I had been brought to the cinque terre for an evening. could not recommend this restaurant anymore. if they debate dessert, the deconstructed tarte au citron is one must not wait to return:
This place was highly rated for seafood and they did not disappoint. The menu offers an array of tapas, mains, and pastas. The wine list was an added bonus. We ordered a number of tapas to share and our favourite had to be the beet salad. One star deducted because there isn’t much ambience inside. Otherwise, it’s well worth the visit! Overall the food was OK, nothing special, we ordered 4 plates of different dishes and they all were just spaghetti (there's Fettuccine, Penne etc. . Usually Italian restaurants have variety of pizza, desserts (like Teramisu .. The service was good although the restaurant was very busy.

Yikes. Went here for an anniversary dinner and we can’t understand why this place has the ratings it does? Service was terrible but food was worse. I could have made better pasta with sauce in a jar. Will not be coming back
This is an excellent spot for Italian cuisine, especially pasta. Our top choice is the prawn carbonara, which is fantastic. The service is wonderful, and we really appreciate their recommendations on the menu. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Absolutely delicious Italian cuisine. Such artistry in the plating and only the freshest ingredients. Come for the pasta, stay for the seafood. The patio is also gorgeous Md romantic with ocean views!
