What a great lunch! Although I didn't have one of their amazing sandwiches (I know how do you go to a deli of this caliber and not order a sandwich?! I did have their Greek salad and it was too shelf! Hubby had the Pastrami on rye and of course I had a bite (or two and it was delicious. The bread was soft, fresh and the pastrami...well seasoned and sliced perfectly. My sister in law had the sloppy joe, looked amazing and must have tasted good since she finished the entire thing! My salad was fresh, and the portion was generous. Definitely a treat when we get to stop in and have lunch. If you haven't been go, like now! Great place and the staff is super friendly. I went there yesterday. I ordered a sandwich and a salad.I Paid for the order when I placed it. I waited about 10 minutes, and my sandwich was done. I asked if the salad was done and the counter person told me they were working on it. 10 minutes later I asked if my salad was done and they said they were working on it. Another 5 minutes went by and I said is my salad done yet? They gave me a dirty look and said they were working on it. I waited 25 minutes for the salad that I never got. I had to get back to work. I paid for something I never got. I've been coming to this restaurant for 50 years! I didn't like the way I was treated. I don't like the new staff. I will not be coming back.
I had my first Town Hall Deli experience over the weekend and what an experience it is! We bought 2 sloppy Joes (1 Brooklyn and 1 Gourmet) and did not have the opportunity to eat them fresh. They came back with us to the northern NY and what a treat 2 days later! We also bought some of their sweet breads and they are also excellent. My father grew up in South Orange in the '30s and '40s, but for some reason we never made it here. If I come back to Jersey, it will be on my list! The staff is actually craftsmen in their craftsmanship and so very pleasant!
I drove for two hours from South Jersey to try this restaurant that I had heard so many good things about. And let me tell you, it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered The Favorite Sloppy Joe and the grilled chicken wrap, and they were both absolutely delicious. I am literally salivating as I write this review just thinking about the food. I highly recommend checking this place out, even if it means traveling a bit to get there.

Definitely fresh food, just wasn?t a fan of the dressing and coleslaw too sweet for me and the dressing tasted more like ketchup idk if that goes with this type of sandwich. However There?s so many options that I would come back again and try something else.
Visited after being away from the area over 20 years for a Slopy Joe. Delicious better than I remembered it. Friendly service. A truly hand crafted sandwich with care and love going into each one, not slapped together. Reasonable prices.
I ordered a tuna fish sandwich on wheat bread and it was only half the size of my hand for $15! It was flavorless and overpriced, definitely not worth the money or time. I will not be ordering from here again.
Best sandwich around! The turkey and roast beef are made at the store and it shows. You won't be disappointed!
