I've been popping in occasionally these past six months and each time I come away more impressed. Firstly, the fish and chips are fantastic! Excellent flavour, excellent portions and extremely reasonable prices. The service is also always spot on. But my favourite thing about this place is how sustainable it's trying to be. I'm cutting down my plastic use, trying to buy products without palm oil and currently doing a vegan month...all the things that seem to send people into a frenzy. Lied to us on the phone: Order confirmed, delivery guy assigned, 20 mins later order cancelled. called up to ask why they had my number if they didnt have something in stock thats fine, dont cancel, let us know and we 'll swap that item out or leave it off but no, they cancelled so I called. apparently the courrier turned up and they had no record of this order so delivery guy calls head office and then tells the shop not to worry about it their mistake. now having ordered via just eat and working in a restaurant myself, I know how the just eat tablets work and that is simply not possible. Ever since the girls took over running the chip shop, the quality of the food has declined. They need training on how to cook the chips properly as they were waxy and plastic-like. The batter was thick and soggy on the inside, although the fish itself was okay. My partner and I used to frequent this chip shop when the previous owner was in charge and the food was good. It seems like something is going wrong now - perhaps the oil isn't hot enough or the batter doesn't taste good. This has not been a one-time occurrence, but unfortunately, this will be our last visit.

We have been purchasing food from this restaurant once a week for quite some time. The food is delicious, but we have noticed that the portion sizes are getting smaller each time. It does not seem like a good value for the money. We will be looking for a new place to get takeout, as we will not be buying from here again.

ordered tonight and the food was supplied hot and perfectly cooked, earlier than expected. in the did seem 5 stars simply not enough for this excellent chip store.
I had to wait an absurdly long time, a total of 30 minutes. It was frustrating to see others receiving their food before me, even though I arrived before them.
