To give you some background, we’ve always been fans of IL Toscano in Douglaston, which we’ve considered a local favorite for years. However, this restaurant has quickly become our new go-to! Everyone in our party raved about the food. For an appetizer, I had the special burrata, which was heavenly and absolutely worth the indulgence. I also tried the mushrooms, which were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted!
For my main course, I went with the chef/owner’s recommendation: Veal Osso Buco Ravioli, served with a spicy twist and hints of mint. I was completely blown away! My wife ordered the Branzino, which she described as one of the best pieces of fish she has ever had.

We attended a party at this restaurant a few weeks ago, and we were so impressed with the food (especially for a party) that we decided to return with the family. I have to say, as people who are not easily impressed, this little spot was a fantastic discovery! The food, gravy, and service were all excellent. When we arrived, the owner seated us at a lovely table next to the fireplace. We ordered several appetizers, and they were all fantastic! They offered fresh burrata cheese, which is hard to find, and the calamari was among the best I've ever tasted. Gotta Love this place. Ok so I had driven past this place a million times and never went in! Last Saturday night we were invited there with two other couples. Typically we go to IL Mulino (which I think is over-rated and way over-priced) and Cippollini which is a scene but offers a decent meal. I was really pleasantly surprised by the service and their attention to detail! The wait staff and owner-Sal were a pleasure to meet! I was even more surprised with this food. This little villa off the beaten path and out of the limelight has to be one of the best if not the best italian meal I have ever had! Trattoria DeLicious!!!. I have been a fan of Trattoria DiMeo's for MANY years now. The food is ALWAYS delightful and fresh. I like to start with the baked clams and portabello mushrooms! The atmosphere is very pleasant and comfortable. The staff is very polite and professional as well. The menu is almost endless as there are so many dishes to choose from. Make sure to leave plenty of room for dessert too!!! Many are made right there on the premises and are to die for! My personal favorite is the cheesecake.....YUM YUM!!! If you havent been there yet do not deprive yourself any longer.......... turn off the computer, get in the car and go already!!!

Absolutely fantastic! This has been one of the best restaurants we've visited in quite some time. The food has consistently been delicious during our last two visits. We really appreciate the owner, who was very friendly, and we enjoyed all the special dishes. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with a fireplace in the bar area. Overall, it's definitely worth the money and the wait for a reservation!
I don’t write google reviews. But I had to tonight. I had the best warm kale salad I’ve ever eaten. The seared tuna was amazing. The mango sorbet was served in a scooped out mango. And the cappuccino… I sat at the bar and Oty gave me impeccable service. But all of that aside. Do yourself a huge favor and come here.
Excellent Restaurant. My wife had my 40th birthday party here as I am a big Italian food fan! The food was fantastic. I can't wait to go again!
Everything was great. But 4 stars because the children's high chairs were dirty. Nobody wants let their baby sit and touch on dirty chair.
