Treadwells is a beloved ice cream destination in Peabody. It’s my boyfriend's and my favorite place to treat ourselves to some ice cream, and having them open year-round is fantastic. The owner, Tom, is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met; he personally serves the ice cream and brings a wonderful energy to the community. The ice cream itself is delicious, and the service is consistently excellent. The addition of an awning makes it so much easier to visit, even in the rain or snow! I'm a big fan of cookie dough with chocolate sprinkles, while my boyfriend enjoys a classic soda with chocolate ice cream (it’s the only local shop that serves this!). I visited Treadwell's for the first time today while in Salem, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly, and even during my short visit, their warmth was evident. I also purchased a pint of ice cream, which they filled all the way to the top. It was amazing! Thank you, Treadwell's!
We visited on a rainy day and enjoyed the best ice cream! The coffee and Oreo flavor was fantastic, and the portion size for a single serving was quite generous. The owners were very friendly and shared that they’ve been running this business for over 20 years (if I remember right).
I'm so grateful for the help I received today when I was caught in the rain without any data on my phone! The folks here are among the most hospitable and kind people I've encountered in America. Plus, the cookie dough ice cream was absolutely amazing!
Have been going here since moving to Salem area 2 years ago. Best ice cream place ever!!! Ice cream is my favorite food group, I have plenty of experience, comparison shopped, and know what I'm talking about. Best ice cream and service. Ten stars

This is a fantastic local ice cream spot! I tried the salted caramel ice cream with chocolate chips, and it was delicious.
It was fun and fast. A fun little stop with the kids after a day of exploring Salem.
