Tres Palmeiras - Tisch resevieren

We noticed Tres Palmeiras when we were looking for our guest house. There were many people waiting we noticed billowing smoke coming from the BBQ. After we checked in, we went to have a nosey around 230pm. Had thought it was BBQ chicken they were serving but turned out to be fish. We had a look at the menu where there were different seafood dishes from about 10€. The restaurant was quite quiet then the BBQ pit didn't seem to be smoking so we went back another day. Read the TripAdvisor reviews in the meantime and it seemed customers are just asked for drinks orders and are served mixed fish with sides and the meal ends with fruit. All sounded very random cool and we were looking forward to it...

Visited many times over the years. Never disappoints provided you understand the nature of the experience. The choice is very limited, basically mixed fish with boiled potatoes and a large crouton with tomato sauce, salad, and olives. It's largely assumed this will be your order and will be brought to the table without asking. There is a small but decent drinks menu. They don't offer meat vegetarian or a vegetarian alternative. The restaurant can be very busy , hectic even. But the atmosphere is joyous. It won't be collecting any Michelin stars, but the food is fresh and very tasty and the ambiance fabulous. Enjoy!

Sem dúvida um ponto obrigatório de passagem em Tavira.<br/>Peixe delicioso, muito fresco, e grelhado na hora.<br/>O pão com o molho especial é de comer e chorar por mais.<br/>Staff atencioso.<br/>Em 10 dias de férias, fomos 3 vezes a este restaurante, tal foi o nível de satisfação.<br/>Um restaurante que conheço desde a minha infância e que fiz questão de revisitar. Em suma, não desiludiu de todo, pelo contrário.<br/>Muito bom!!!

Great for fish lover s to eat not vegans) traditional grilled BBQ) fish, at reasonable/ cheap prices. Locals not many tourists, and be prepared to queue if not early. Fact locals queue, is sign how it is valued. It's proper food not looks pretty tastes bad, it tastes great, but if you can't use your fingers be happy to spend twice as much for material table cloth, cover charge and pricey wine. Um dos meus sítios preferidos para comer peixe em Tavira. O peixe é à descrição, fresco e grelhado na hora. Os pães torrados com massa de pimentão são deliciosos e no fim somos presenteados com um cabaz de fruta também à descrição. O ambiente é um pouco agitado porque é um restaurante de pescadores, as mesas ficam perto do grelhador mas suficientemente longe para não apanhar com o fumo

Cycled past this restaurant, my better half loves fish, so we stopped, its very basic and rustic, that's not a problem, there was a large number of people waiting to get in.. The food was fine for my better half, but I struggle with bones. The portions were generous and I did enjoy what I had.. Staff very friendly and the food is really freshly cooked. Excellent value

Sempre que visito Tavira é esta a escolha para jantar. Restaurante simples com peixe fresco e de qualidade. Está sempre a vir para a mesa e costuma ser o peixe que há no dia, os acompanhamentos são otimos. Ainda é dos poucos sítios no Algarve onde não se come comida para 'turistas ' e mantém a qualidade. Na epoca alta tem sempre fila, por isso aconselho a ir cedo.

We’ve been coming to Tavira since 2017 but have never been by Três Palmeiras when it was open until today! What a great meal! 4 perfectly grilled fish, grilled bread, potatoes, salad, olives and fresh bread. We were offered fruit and coffee for dessert, but declined so much food! Burnt fish, zero quality, sardines that look like they are frozen with cold and poor portion of potatoes, the salad was dried the bread had no sauce, the staff members were very rude, no organisation what so ever, this restaurant in a year changed allot since last year, definitely not coming back and I advice no one to come. Horrible experience

Returned after meaning to go back for years , not disappointed set menu for €10 as described in previous reviews. Not for those who like their fish filleted . Authentic experience
