In Zurich there 's always a wooded area 10 minutes away... so is this place, that you reach in 10 minutes of tram from the Stadelhofen station, downtown, near the Opera theatre. The tram leaves you near a hospital on the hill, and in few minutes you find yourself in a wood; a little forward, you find a creek with a bridge and the restaurant (once a mill, from the name and the aspect) is just there. I had the good luck to be here in the venison season. It was to be a light lunch before a nordic walking trip. So we had just a main course and a salad. Restaurant is located in a 1000 year old mill, won 't be easy to find for non-locals. Very friendly reception by staff in a cosy living room environment, split in the Stübli and the cosy Gaststube, both furnished in traditional Swiss style. Would recommend the Stübli. Wide choice of Swiss dishes, fish and meat. Quality, fresh ingredients used. We took the veal cordon bleu as main dish, available in 6 variations, all good, from traditional to spicy. Top! Staff is easy going, but professional and very friendly. Good range of wines available. I would say that price/quality is balanced for Swiss standards. We will come back in springtime to enjoy dinner in the garden restaurant.
Das neueste Pop-Up von der Wilder Kaiser Familie haucht neues Leben in die Trichterhausener Mühle ein, eine großartige Leistung. Das Essen waren die vertrauten frechen Wiener Spezialitäten. Die Tatsache, dass es an einem regnerischen November-Dienstagabend im Winter voll war, ist ein willkommenes Zeichen. Der Raum war ein bisschen laut.
We came for a business lunch to this traditional restaurant in Zollikerberg. All service personnel was very friendly, fast and helpful. Food came quickly and in large portions. A schnitzel to dream about. But the other dishes are also delicious. Have been there a few times now. Always very committed, friendly and well-positioned staff. I can't comment on the rooms as I fortunately live nearby.
During our hike through the tobels of the neighborhood we stopped here for a nice lunch. Great salad with venison stripes, walnuts and grapes. Very well prepared. Nice service as well.
Secluded Restaurant along the vicinity of Zollikerberg Forest but accesible thru a mini bus, adequate Parking, Wild Food specialities. bit pricy but Food for the Money
