I have a great believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day,When one is getting older it's important to enjoy to the maximum all we put in our stomachs.I wish only the simplest of dishes most often ,Eggs ,Sunny side up soft yolk, Real butter ,Warm toast,Warm plate.Baked beans if available ( many hip joints like Tropicana caffe feel this is beneath them to serve such pedestrian food ).Einstein is not needed just a very basic cook,The modicum of skill and understanding. No matter what you get, you've got a safe bet with the food here. Large selection, yummy food, easy and quick service. Whenever I go out to eat with my partner it's never a discussion about where to go: It's always Tropicana. We're there I'd say twice a week. The pasta is amazing and they're happy to customize the toppings to what you want. The SALAD is what I love about them; best I've ever had. The atmosphere is fine, it's nothing to write home about. Bright florescent lighting with TV's everywhere playing music videos. Very casual. It's no romantic night out, but if what you want is quick, easy, GOOD food, then this place is for you.

A canteen style cafe, no frills food & service. We ordered an eggs with bacon & an eggs with smoked salmon, and that's exactly what you get plus half a tomato & toasts (lots of toasts!). The serving sizes are quite generous for the prices. The food tasted fine, but the coffees are superb! Great spot to sit outside to enjoy a good coffee & people watch!
