Trowell Garden Centre Cafe

We arrived at the restaurant eager to try the Chips we had seen on a previous visit where we were seated about 2 minutes too late and could only order cakes and cold snacks. This time we arrived with plenty of time and the restaurant...was busy. It took about 5 minutes to get seated and there was no queue to enter. We were seated next to a small hedge on a table for two, near the Tills and route to the exit. We were given menus, then within about 2 minutes we were asked what we wanted to order, which seemed a little rushed. all I wanted was a afternoon tee and wee, I went with headache, much confusion and a very p’d off mother. I don't know what happened to this place. you just turned off your tablet to get your drinks and eat no problem, now you wait outside at a strange sign that says 30 minutes waiting. We've only waited five for happiness. but even that was too long in view of the fact that there were only about ten people, and they had no hurry to put us. they are shown to a table as if they are in a posh restaurant, given a few tatty menus. the tee I ordered was thrown half on me. my mother is disabled and needed a better seat, so I stared her seats for her all the time through the personal. should I stay...

We quite often pop in to Diggs to eat. The staff are great and are always on the go. But something is obviously wrong at the moment. There is a written apology on a blackboard before you even step in!! In my mind the logical...thing to do would be to temporarily cut the service area down to at least give the serving staff a fighting chance. We ordered and we accepted that the wait would be longer than normal. Well, after 15 minutes my ordered toastie arrived looking a sorry, not good for value snack with no tea. we have eaten a lot of paints here in the course of the years and were a little used – from the recent negative comments. we called to the breakfast at the beginning of the bank holiday and enjoyed it. all staff who served us to take the order, serve. eating, payment were friendly and chatty. the food was well cooked and delicious; the drinks as they should be. there was background music, but hardly audible about the conversational sounds of the others. we have no problem with the one way system it is not complicated to follow and if it works for their business, then so be it.

only the worst experience. we said that I couldn't have a roasted teacake, because the kitchen staff didn't make it until 11.30 a.m., then I overheard other tables that were ordered and served. When I scared him, I was told that the waitress. had interrogated me and got a half-hearted apology. my man heard me clearly! then it was obviously discussed among some workers who pulled a face. instead I ordered a speckrolle that was not the biggest. when abandoning and paying in writing there was no greeting, no thanks and no farewell. We will definitely not return

Been many times but todays visit 31st Dec 2021 will be the last. No wait for a table and given menu but after looking at the menu which has a lot of variety then realised how pricey it is. 4.59 for toast, £2.49 for...a cuppa tea. Chap on next table was moaning about lack of food on his breakfast plate. This is a lot dearer than the Costas etc for drinks and toast, Visit Number 58 in Long Eaton which does a very large breakfast for similar prices in a lovely Bistro type bar.

My wife spent a fair bit of time waiting to get served with our 2year old today. She was totally ignored and was left standing around. She even made the effort to signal a member of staff but was still blanked. This is such a...disappointing thing to happen. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Went to the cafe here and ordered coffee and walnut cake, which was just OK, and fruit scone, which was extremely dry and awful. Not good overall.

Breakfast to share with my Mam is just enough, the staff here are very pleasant and the service is quick and efficient, what more do you want.
