I ordered Take Out from Tu Casa several times in the past month and dined in for Valentine’s Day dinner. The Peruvian menu is extensive and the cost is fairly inexpensive relative to other similar restaurants. For an appetizer we ordered the Colombian sausage and fried plantains (Chorizo Colombiano and Tostones) and it was exceptional. For our main meal we ordered the Steak and Onions (Bistec Encebollado) and the Beef Stew (Carne Guisado) with yellow and white rice respectively. Horrible experience. We live around the block and have often dined in here but today resulted in deciding to never eat here again. We came in and seated ourselves as usual. The waitress (must be new never seen her told us we couldn’t sit there because they accepted a reservation over the phone (table did not have a reserve sign . The only other options were tables by the door that were too cold to sit by. The party that reserved was not even at the location yet. They refused to sit them by the door because it was too cold but wanted us to there instead. There were tables that were finishing up and while the party arrived could have been seated there instead. Maybe we made the wrong choice on the menu, but the food was not worth it. We were expecting a platter with the best of the Peruvian kitchen. However we got served a plate with nothing else than deepfried, cheap cuts of meat. Where is the love? The beef (stated on the menu) was not on there. Eventhough we mentioned, there was no compensation whatsoever. The desert was good, but not outstanding. We will probably not be back here. Staff was friendly. Restroom: super clean.
I really should have paid attention to the reviews. The atmosphere was not very welcoming, and we felt completely ignored when we entered. My wife and child were picking a spot to sit, but the staff member at the bar just kept staring at us, which made it uncomfortable. I eventually went up to the bar to ask if it was alright for us to sit where we had chosen, since the staring from a distance and lack of warm greetings were quite off-putting.

I've been visiting this restaurant on and off for more than a decade. When I worked in the area (Queens Blvd), my coworkers and I would frequently order lunch from here. Everything is consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The sangria is fantastic as well. Whenever my friend and I dine in, we jokingly talk about sneaking a bottle of the green sauce into our purse because it's that good. The service is always quick and friendly too.
I ordered my usual dish, Carne Guisada, along with Salchipapas. I placed my order around 5:30 PM on a Thursday during peak dinner time, and it arrived at 6:13 PM—15 minutes earlier than the app had estimated. I definitely need to visit the restaurant in person soon; I'm sure it's fantastic!
I believe this will be my 4th time ordering from this place within two weeks. The food is great and has been consistently cooked. Im glad I found this spot. Next time I will try something different but so far I give it a full 5 star on everything!!
As always, the Carne Guisada was excellent, especially when paired with the generous portions of rice and beans. The Salchipapas and Empanadas were also delicious. Everything was served hot and on time.

The food arrived quickly and at the perfect temperature. This is my third time ordering, and it certainly won't be my last. I particularly enjoyed the beef stew!
Food was delicious. Definitely buying again! Especially the chicken.
