On Saturday night of the July 4th weekend we failed to plan ahead. I haven't been to Highlands in a couple years but fortuitously parked in front of Primary. I admitted my error and appealed to there kindness. Luckily one spot was available for our party of five. The hostesses were all friendly and happy to have us join them. Ken was our waiter and was exceptional from beginning to end. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions efficiently. He was helpful with suggestions and accommodating to our special request. He was there often enough to stay on top of things but gave us peace to enjoy our meals. Ken was a big part of this review being 5 stars. Food was fabulous....
A wonderful new addition to the dining scene in Highlands, brought to you by the team behind Primary Steakhouse, which is located in the former merit office. We received attentive service from our server DJ, and the bartenders offered well-crafted drinks alongside a thoughtful, reasonably priced wine list. The menu features an extensive selection of dishes. Highly recommended! (Please note that older reviews pertain to the previous restaurant at this location.)
This is the second time we've made reservations through OpenTable, and both times we've arrived to find the restaurant closed despite our confirmation. In Highlands, securing a dinner reservation is essential for a nice experience, so this has been quite disappointing. I believe this restaurant should be removed from OpenTable, especially since their voicemail indicates they don't accept reservations.
Great ambiance, good food, excellent coktails. One of the better Manhattan's I've had in awhile. Trout was excellent and they had a pretty good kids menu. It would be great to come back sans kids and enjoy a couple cocktails at the bar. Wel decorated interior, friendly staff, and clean restaurant.

Ken, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. We absolutely loved the Ahi Tuna Tower; it's a must-try if you're looking for something fresh and delicious. The corn bread is as large as a cast iron skillet and absolutely tasty. Highly recommended!
My wife and I loved the feel of this place. Coconut shrimp was delicious. Our bartender who said she grew up in the area, gave us some good activity recommendations and helped to ensure we had a memorable visit.
This restaurant is fantastic! The service is excellent, and the food is amazing, with great vegan options available. This update is based on my previous review from November 7, 2021.
We made a reservation through OT and received confirmation from them, but when we arrived at the restaurant for dinner, it was closed.

Very cool. We expected more of a diving bar, but it's really nice inside. The cocktails were great. Very good old-fashioned.
