Not the restaurant it used to be. The lamb shank in my Incik was soft and moist, but it obviously hadn't been cooked in the sauce, which tasted like tinned tomato soup heated up in a microwave and poured over as an afterthought. The sauce itself was flavourless and (very) acidic, and the vegetables (potatoes and carrots) in it were stone cold. Our Lahmacun was burned I can't believe it was served to us. The atmosphere here was never great it's a massive barn of a space but this was always overlooked because the food was excellent. No more, I'm afraid.
I was in town for a business trip, and this restaurant was definitely the highlight of my stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the ambiance with the great jazz music was delightful. The decor was really charming, and the food was outstanding. I ordered the grilled salmon, which was a generous and flavorful portion, though I was already quite full from the complimentary bread and dips! Thank you for brightening the day of a weary traveler. I wish you all the best and have already recommended you to others.
The restaurant seems to be understaffed, as the personnel don't make an effort to check if customers need anything. I found myself getting up multiple times for assistance. It's quite disappointing that a Turkish restaurant doesn't provide wet wipes. Additionally, some items on the dessert menu were unavailable and didn't match what was advertised. The food and atmosphere were decent, but I would only return if there were no other options nearby or available.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Anca and the crew are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations! Halloumi and ceasar salads were ok but the salad element could do with a bit of imagination as it wasn't that great. The baklava was delicious.
