Upon entering, we noticed that the restaurant was quite warm. Coming in from an unusually hot September night, we expected a cooler environment, but it felt rather stuffy. Our server was friendly and assisted us with our menu inquiries. Our meal began with a basket of warm, seasoned olive oil and a couple of slices of bread. The Chicken Parmigiana looked appealing under a generous layer of melted cheese, but the chicken had a slight burn to it, with some areas of the breading being overly cooked. The Eggplant Parmigiana resembled a lasagna more than the traditional dish. Both plates could have used a bit more seasoning—definitely a sprinkle of salt and black pepper would have helped. Howev...
Okay I’m not normally a hater but when I call 10x times you better answer I understand if you’re busy but If I come to the restaurant and not one employee was busy it shouldn’t been a problem because I work in the area calling ahead is suppose to make things convenient so it made no sense but as soon as I order ravioli that basically came out to $50 for 2 I want some bread, cheese, I want my pasta hot! The highlight of the menu was definitely the dessert. The tiramisu and bombolini—fried donuts filled with either Nutella or cannoli cream—were absolutely delicious. It might have just been an off night for the kitchen. I've also heard that the original chef has left, which could explain the change in quality. I would definitely return for dessert! I'm baffled as to how this restaurant made it onto the Michelin guide. The food was quite average and not at all authentic Italian. Easily top 3 pasta places in all of Westchester and even the greater Hudson valley region. Penne vodka is top notch. The eggplant parm is excellent. Tiramisu is delicious. It's a can't miss if you're in the area. Highly recommended.
