I have had two outstanding meals in my life where I know the chef is and who have provided food that I will remember forever. The first was my wedding lunch at The Art School and then last night (Monday 11 December) I was served at Twelve Fusion in Southport the most amazing meal. Paulo and Ben hosted perfection in food and service. We originally went for the vegan tasting menu but Paulo offered fish dishes as it became clear we would be happy with that. What came was a compendium of dishes and flavours and wine and chat from Paulo and Ben that made the meal the best experience. This is easily the best restaurant in Southport in my humble, opinion Food is so tasty and fresh and there’s such a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Love the generous sized portions too and personalised service from the owner I couldn’t decide which sauce to accompany the scallops so I was given both, one was a soy sauce with chilli and the other a creamy seafood sauce which I enjoyed dipping between the two as really complimented each other! The flavours with the pork belly n fried rice were just perfect My husband went for the salt n pepper chicken to start and fillet of steak with chunky chips for main which were equally as delicious — eating dinner at Twelve Fusion Southport.
My partner and I visited Twelve last night based on a recommendation we saw online. We decided to try the tasting menu and it exceeded our expectations. The chef and owner, Paulo, greeted us warmly and asked about our preferences, made some suggestions, and even came out to ensure everything was to our liking. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, but it definitely deserves more customers. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was amazing. We will definitely return in the future. Many thanks to Paulo and the rest of the staff for a wonderful dining experience.
Wow! We searched for the best restaurants in Southport and Twelve was in the top rated. We liked the sound of the fusion take, well, we were not disappointed! From the minute we walked in the door Paulo was the most warm and welcoming host, he asked what we liked, seen is to our seat and we immediately had the best shot of port. We went for the taster menu, from start to finish it was fantastic, with a beautiful white wine to accompany it was and shots provided by Paulo. Thank you Paulo, we’ll definitely be back again and pass on the word. Obrigado Paulo!

We returned to the restaurant for a second time and were warmly welcomed by Paulo, as if we were old friends. The food was consistently amazing, especially the tasting menu which exceeded our expectations. Paulo's pastel de nata was particularly outstanding. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was excellent. Paulo's passion for his culinary creations was evident in every dish. We can't wait for our next visit.
This restaurant is truly fantastic. Paulo is incredibly welcoming and goes above and beyond to ensure the guests are well taken care of. He frequently checks in on the meals to make sure everything is to your liking. His dedication to his business is evident. This was the best dining experience we have ever had and we will definitely return. Thank you to Paulo and the wonderful waiter who served us.
Lovely ambience. Greeted by front of house and taken to our table. Started with a taster of Port, brought out by the chef himself. We had the taster menu paired with wine selected by the chef It was absolutely divine.
Amazing! Excellent food cooked to our liking, great choice of wines. Paulo was a perfect host. The restaurant was beautifully decorated ready for Christmas. A perfect night.

Over priced, over rated. Food very ordinary. Restaurant was cold, one poor group constantly closing the door, not for us.
