We have had lunch here 4 times in the last year and, up to now, have been very happy, hence we return. Unfortunately, today was the exception: only Julie's cheerful and efficient service (as always) kept this from a mediocre 3/5. Our starters and Fish Chips main were fine but certainly not outstanding, and the menu really lacks anything innovative or original. As the Beefeater name suggests a specialism in steaks, our other main was a 10oz rib eye, ordered medium rare: what turned up was a thin-cut steak, cooked medium (it would have been difficult to cook this piece of meat as requested. Certainly not worth the £20 price tag, and to pay an additional £1.99 for a virtually tasteless pepperco...
Twelve Bells has become our go to restaurant for NY Eve with out friends as it is what it is they serve relatively good food at a reasonable price and this visit was no exception. Our server was fantastic (older lady, didn 't catch her name) she was attentive withour being over bearing, drinks choices were ok. That being said, my biggest gripes on this occasion was the food. Medium rare Ribeye, came out a shade rarer than expected. The rump on the mixed grill was TINY, and a side of Garlic herb pan fried King Prawns amounted to two prawns. Literally the bare minimum you can get away with to use the plural prawns At £5, this was a bit of a joke. And they didn 't appear to be pan fried in the...
Wasn’t expecting much, but admit to having a really nice meal in here on NYE. Used the meal deal offer as staying at the Premier Inn next door. Had the ribs and chicken combo and the cheesecake for pudding with wine. Very nice. Really good value as had the breakfast the next day as well (which was also good). Staff were good, friendly and attentive. Enjoyed it.
We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant thanks to the excellent service provided by Jeannette. The fillet steak was delicious, the prawn cocktail was a delight, and the desserts were sumptuous. We will definitely be returning, hopefully when Jeannette is working again. Thank you!

Stopped here on our way home from a short break in Birmingham. We found the staff cheerful and welcoming and the service was excellent. The food was excellent also and the atmoshere was busy but not smothering. A lovely building too. Will certainly return.
I had a fantastic experience at this Beefeater restaurant. Jo provided exceptional and friendly service, the food was delicious and served quickly. I always feel very welcome when dining here. The atmosphere is friendly and cosy.
10 former members of Cotswold friends which disbanded during covid in 2020 still go out once a month for lunch and we throughly enjoyed our meals at the Twelve Bells today 30th November food and service was very good
Jeanette was incredible! So helpful, friendly and attentive. Food was great quality and served quickly, and we were offered drunk refills at the perfect time 10/10
