You may notice signs advertising authentic handmade fresh Italian-style pizza throughout the garden center and on the website, featuring enticing photos of stone-baked rustic pizza similar to what you might find from a wood-fired oven. However, what you actually receive is supermarket-style pizza with tasteless dough, a biscuity crust that is perfectly circular down to the little pinholes on the bottom, straight from the packaging, at three times the price you would pay for a store-brand pizza from any major grocery store. This experience was disappointing at best and, to be honest, quite misleading. This was genuinely the worst pizza I have ever had at a pizzeria.
Pottering about looking at the plants and pots they have so many! and decided to have a cuppa and a snack. One club sandwich and cheese scone later in their lovely outdoor area, and we were so glad we did. The food was well prepared, plentiful and well presented and most importantly very tasty. The pot of tea for two did 2 plus cups each, and we had loads of milk as well. The outside area is lovely and clean, and has both shady and sunny area's to sit or like we did a bit of both . We ordered sausage rolls…. They were cooked on the ends, but the main part was disgusting and the sausage meat inside was completely raw! We couldn’t eat them and told staff, who said that they use a probe, so they must be cooked they definitely weren’t, unless the probe was only stuck in the ends that were cooked. To be fair, we were offered something else, but unfortunately, by then, we had lost our appetites.
Just wanted to review the Christmas Market if you get a chance please go its so full of everything Christmas and at great prices. And yes, you can get a snack or a meal there whilst also doing some nice local shopping. I can never come out of the pace without something and any gifts I buy from there are always a great hit too. The restaurant used to be very good but has lost its way and is ridiculously overpriced. £3.75 for a little sausage roll is a rip-off. Why do I have to buy a sandwich with soup when I only want soup. £4 for a little piece of cake, which is £1.75 in Ely. I won't be back and I won't be recommending it.
I visited this restaurant twice in October for Sunday lunch and we really enjoyed it! They have a wide variety of vegetables, two or three meat options, and huge Yorkshire puddings. The garden center is spacious and the shop offers a lot of Christmas decorations and gift items.
Arrived at 14.04 to be told there was no hot meal service after 2pm. On their website it clearly states 'main menu available until 3pm ' I rang to discuss and the gentleman agreed the website was misleading. I will not bother agsin.90 minute return drive- waste of timr!
I bought a garden sculpture from this company online. They informed me it was out of stock, but despite multiple emails and phone calls over the course of two weeks, I have yet to receive a refund of over £100. I would not recommend purchasing from them. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Went there today with a friend. Selected Christmas food . Absolutely shocking. Food was cold. Under cooked carrots overcooked Brussels . Could not the stuffing as it was gross. At least the gravy was on the boil .Come on you can do better than that!!
