Popped into 2Brothers yesterday to buy a Pain Au Chocolat (they used to be decent at 2B) and mine was underbaked and raw in the middle. Sad but not a catastrophe. However whilst I was waiting the Barista was setting up a coffee after having ground the beans….. and then gently and lovingly BLEW (as in to blow) off the excess coffee powder. No I know no one remembers COVID any more and that it was a long time ago and all. But that was a special moment even in non COVID times. Sorry chaps but that wasn’t ok. 2Brothers is in truth a quiet but pleasant coffee shop the Cortado is very decent. Was going to put this up yesterday, but it took me a while to digest what I saw.
the coffee that is served here is by far the best in the opposite. I always get the filter I think w60 is pouring. it is not so common to find a place that does it, so it is good that they make it really good. it is a great place to sit and relax for a morning/night, do some work or hang around with a friend. Every time I was in there, I found a mix of all these. Finally, the speckrolle they do the day before is a good quality brot, and nicely cooked speck. it is not just a cheap mülleimer, as some places would try to entice them.
Surprisingly empty inside given the reputation, I did expect the selection of cakes to be slightly more than it was. That said, those we had were simply superb especially my slab off Jaffa Cake which was truly excellent and a must try! The coffee was also very good and the prices, although slightly higher than usual chain prices, were reasonable enough for Altrincham. The inside is a bit dark and tries too hard to be trendy which isn't to everyone's liking, but didn't detract from the food for me. Would certainly go again.
We stopped in for lunch as a second choice as our first one was closed. It is more of a coffee shop with cakes etc, which sells a few boxed sandwiches. We both had bacon sandwiches with an iced coffee and a passion fruit lemonade. The food is very good quality, with an unusual **** Mary ketchup. The cafe was very busy mostly with people working remotely on laptops so there weren’t many tables free. Overall, a nice quiet atmosphere, good quality food and drinks, and efficient service. Altrincham is known for its array of vintage and closed shops, as well as its selection of cozy coffee shops. If you're in the mood for a cup of coffee, Louis, Alex, and Jen at this spot serve up an exceptional brew with top-notch beans and excellent service. Be sure to check out the restroom too - it's possibly the best in the entire North West region. We'll be sad to leave this place behind when we head home. We highly recommend it.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and was not let down. The cappuccino I ordered was delicious and made just the way I like it, and paired perfectly with a pastry after a day of shopping. The atmosphere was modern and inviting, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning.
I am really disappointed as my mum and her friend were refused service as they only had cash to make payment. They are elderly and do not carry cards. They even said they would be happy to pay extra and not get any change. I will never be spending my money here again.
Coffee exceptional blows all the chains out the water. You have to try the bacon butty to understand how good it is ! My first choice for coffee in Alty and Hale, cake is also exceptional. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Made a quick pit stop here with my kids. My latte and the matcha latte were very nice. The food options were a bit limited, but understandable with the current covid issues.
