I actually went the Twoheys when it was still located in Alhambra. Since the move they have upgraded the look. From a family friendly diner similar to Dinas to a nice place to take a date. Its still family friendly just a bit more posh. They have a great menu and the staff is always super friendly. I think there black seared salmon and Pesto Pasta are items i can't live without. A must have if you get the chance. Although you cant go wrong with other entree choices. They have a fantastic desert that can be shared by at least 3 people. Or one if you can manage it. Ample parking is available within the plaza. You may have to walk a bit but its well worth it.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, including the Salmon Avocado Toast, The Alhambra Breakfast burrito, all the burgers, Chilaquiles con carne, Huevos Rancheros, and the short stack. We were a large group with kids, and our waitress Patricia was attentive to every detail—excellent service! If you're a party of 15 or more, they accept reservations and require a credit card to hold your spot; otherwise, it's a walk-in basis. The last time I had this food was before they moved to this location, but I don't know if it was the lovely outdoor patio, but everything tasted even more delicious than I remembered.
The eggnog French toast topped with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries was simply divine! I also enjoyed a decaf mocha that was perfect, and the regular coffee was exceptional as well. We tried the Sunrise Burger too, and it was incredibly tasty. I couldn’t help but take pictures of every dish to capture the beauty of this amazing dining experience. I’m already looking forward to returning to create more wonderful memories with my family. This was an unforgettable way to kick off 2024!
The food here was excellent for a reasonable price. I took my husband here for a birthday celebration, and they surprised him with a sundae topped with a sparkler, which was a lovely touch. The outdoor seating is pleasant, but it lacks a certain ambiance and feels a bit like dining in a tent in the parking lot. What a charming restaurant with an impressive menu! Everyone at the table was pleased with their meals. I ordered the eggnog French toast, and though I'm not quite sure what gave it that 'eggnog' flavor, it was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated the generous topping of berries. The restaurant also had high chairs available, was spotless, and we didn't have to wait at all for a table.
I went for breakfast here with a friend today and we were seated outside. We ended up waiting for a server for about 15-20 minutes, along with another guest. We didn’t receive any water or service during that time, so my friend had to go to the front to let someone know we were there. Aside from that strange situation, the food and service were quite good overall.
I ordered the happy hour nachos, asada fries, and calamari. The calamari was decent, but the nachos and fries were disappointing. The meat was very dry, which affected the overall flavor. I had to ask several times for a drink refill. This was my first time dining here for dinner, and I don't think I'll be returning.
