I am a New Zealander living in the Basque country. I have had the tortilla bacalao (basically fish omelette), bean beef soup and many dishes. They have authentic basque country flavoursome food. It's definitely an authentic experience dining at Tximista. It is quite expensive but you are not only paying for the food but also the experience itself and well free refills of apple cider. I also love their desserts especially the flan. The owners are a friendly and courteous couple. highly recommend!
El personal muy atento, comida muy rica y sidra ilimitada. Probamos el menú sidrería, y esta genial, de primeras piensas que ye vas a quedar con hambre, pero realmente es mucha comida y muy bien elaborado, el chorizo a la sidra espectacular, tortilla de bacalao muy rica, tacos de balacao increíbles y la chuleta de vaca muy rica. Postre abundante, 2 tipos de tarta, nueces y queso curado. Muy recomendable.
Egon naizen sagardotegi hoberenetako bat da!! Oso tratu ona jaso dugu langileen parterik. Gainera, gaur egun aurkitzeko gero eta zailagoa den kalitateko produktuak eskaintzen dituzte!! Bertako giroa ere itzela da!! Edozeineri gomendatzen diot leku hau!! Todo esta muy rico!!! Ademas el servicio es excenlente!! Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quiere ir a cenar a un sitio muy bueno y de calidad!!
Llevamos 5 veranos yendo a comer allí en vacaciones, se ha convertido en tradición. Estupendo sitio para comer y disfrutar de una experiencia gastronómica de primera: buena sidra (e ilimitada), buena comida, excelente personal, y un lugar muy agradable y tradicional, convirtiéndola en una vivencia muy familiar y agradable. Recomendable 100

The croquettes and tortilla are amazing. the chuleta and cider both good, excellent service. The most important thing for us is how easy it was to get to from san sebastian by train.
