nice setting , good food and the atmosphere was set by one charming young man who could speak French and Russian ,and looked after our party of four well , our own command of French was fine , and we tried as we feel you should if possible ,to order and read the menus in the native language of the country we are visitors in and so the evening moved along nicely ,until we ordered a plater with some five sample desserts to share between the four of us and then the evening came to an abrupt halt , the female waitress who up to this point had nothing to do with our party , delivered the dessert to our table was so completely rude and obnoxious , when tried to explain that we were sharing the des...
Lovely place and lovely ambiance. If you are a dog lover you will love Gusto the smashing puppy who lives there. We both had fish soup starter which was very good. My partner had wild boar stew - also excellent. Unfortunately my fillet steak in mushroom cream sauce was stone cold, as was everything on my plate. I decided not to return it due to the lack of staff - they were very busy serving other tables (which were all full.) There was a long wait between courses and the bill took a long time to come, as noted by previous reviewers. Cash only was not a problem, as we knew about it beforehand. Quite expensive - we paid 90 Euros for 2 starters, 2 mains and a couple of drinks. Only real issue...
My boyfriend and I arrived at this restaurant excited and eager to see the countryside. Our experience here was the best we have had on the island so far! From the spectacular service and friendly atmosphere, we felt right at home. Our sever had Muscat rosé and appetizers ready for us upon arrival- Even the restaurant puppy greeted us at the door! We both ordered filet de boeuf with foie gras and champignons (medium.) AMAZING! We paired our meal with a bottle of vin rouge Casteddu- excellent. We have been warmly welcomed. The staff was super courteous and friendly. We ate boar and steak, and it was all very good. The chocolate fondue was an experience: you need to try it. The staff was really paying attention to local traditions: at the end of dinner they offered 'mirte and chatagne,' and gave us all sort of suggestion of places to visit. We had an evening meal for five here in late October. There were very few other customers but the service was friendly and the food wonderful. I don't have enough experience to say whether this was authentic Corsican cuisine, but it was far better than...anything else we tried in the area. Not cheap but certainly not expensive. Well worth a visit.
We had anticipated a standard restaurant but we were in for a very pleasant surprise. The location is truly rural and very authentic providing you don't mind a few flies. The welcoming and ambiance is great and matched by the quality of the corsican cuisine....We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Thank you
We spent a nice evening listening to some Corsican music (Friday) in this restaurant located in the middle of nature. The menu at was fine. We also took a fruity red wine from Sartène with our meal. Service was friendly. The location is quite...original and many friendly dogs wander around the place.
