Popular and informal harbourside eatery located within a large roadside marquee which has a small bar at one end. Speedy and efficient young service team are on top of their game and energetically whizz back and forth to the kitchen across the road. Pizzas and moules meunieres seem to be the specialities. Punters consume pots of the latter at a phenomenal rate. Too maritime for me, so I went the pizza direction and tried a meaty calzone. Very pleased; good dough, plenty of filling and even a runny fried egg inside. As an entity, it wasn't quite so inflated as its english equivalent but who cares. Food: the food was amazing, I had pizza with ham and then some chips with it, I think it is one of the best pizzas I have had in France/Corsica apart from it being to thin but that was fine. The chip are the same best I have had in Corsica worth going if you are near! Service: out door Pizza Hut, right next to the boats, lovely view really is nice. The was a waiting list but worth the wait. The staff aren't the best, say hello and then walk away takes ages to get them to order food. I would recommend it for the lovely food.
Walking from the marina sea wall, we smelled the nicest smoke flavor. Following our noses, we walked up to the outdoor grill of U Scalu, right at the water’s edge. We sat down at their outdoor tables and were quickly attended by Akshay, who spoke English. The food was great, as was the service. We ordered the beef ribs for two (enough for four), ate to our hearts’ content, and took home enough for another big meal. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed a lovely lunch on the terrace of U Scalu looking over the harbour of Macinaggio. We started our meal with a traditional Corsican aperitif: Cap Corse. I ordered the grilled gambas and my boyfriend had a Tomino pizza. Both dishes were prepared outside nearby the sea. The pizza was made in a wood oven. Food was great, service was friendly. Lovely place for a lunch.

Visited for a sunny Sunday lunch, this eatery was buzzing with locals (it's the main reason I chose this). The pizza I had (Napoli) was solid, but the locals seemed to enjoy their mussels and other mains greatly (probably should have observed before going for the pizza). Service was attentive and all the waiters spoke English.
Went there last night. Took 10 minutes to get a menu; we were never asked if we wanted a drink. Waited another 20 minutes and nobody bothered to come as ask for our order so we left. Walked down to Les Iles and we were immediately found a table and served with a drink. Won't try U Scalu again!!
We tried several items from menu. All good and very reasonable prices. Pizza oven is really fast and the two pizzas we had were excellent. Staff very good despite having to coordinate grill, pizza oven and resaurant kitchen. Good place to eat and chill.
the restaurant is well located at the centre of the village overlooking the port. the wood firdled oven indicate a chance for a good pizza - not so. Other plates good such as the melon and parma. place is fairly cheap

Great food - fresh vegetables, crisp pizza with fresh toppings, friendly energetic staff, located right on the water front and inexpensive! Highly recommend if you like good plain food.
we chose this restaurant by chance... we tasted the whole menu...very very good. highly recommended.
