in one word: had a kirin, the tempura moriawase and a katsudon. kirin was cold, the tempura was excellent, the katsudon was salted (which was sad because he had everything else for him). wonderful to see clean kitchen, efficient and nice service. I'd go back to taste the udon. outside the shell: I went to dinner on Monday. near the beginning of the dinner service (19:00.) was sitting immediately, there was a short queue when I left the restaurant. There was a kirin, a moriawase tempura and a katsudon. edamame (free!) served quickly and a cold and nicely poured kirin. I was swore to never put my feet back into the kunitoraya that was formerly holy street, having several times tasted udon or oyakodon to the cockroaches there. The restaurant is popular and regularly quoted for the specialties of 'Udons. We tasted a hot udon (udon kunitoraya pork), a cold udon with chicken karaage (Japanese pasta). The udons are ultra fresh it feels tasteful. The hot version is in a good broth without it being heavy and fat. I would have enjoyed more food to decorate the dish but with the fried chicken flavored karaage it was very well. The soak udon with the cold broth is excellent as well. The wait can be long but it was very reasonable for me (20 min). Forget the intimist side, one is attacked next to the other but without being too tight. I think if you want to actually eat Japanese, it's one of the good places to go.MAIS: it's not exactly like japon: the udons approach it, but not the gyudons (they have trouble with the thin slices of beef to do as there). I also note that the restaurant is much too small, there are 30 minutes of queues out there, with the guests waiting looking mechaly at those who eat (we understand them,) trying to tell them to disembark as soon as possible!Finally, it's still pretty expensive for what it is. when you know a little the prices at the japon for this kind of base dish and not expensive there, a bit like you're making japon 20€ a French dish of. jumped potatoes!
second time in the bistro and it's always as good ^_^ Tenpura-Udon (shrimp buns) the first time and Kamo-Udon (canarad) the second, with in addition the menu noon (sintering, omelette and onigri) huuuuuuuum, a feast. The problem is that the restaurant is so small that there are no places for everyone and we have a little bit put at the door once our lunch is finished and we were looking for a chat, medium, very average:-( tip: if you can, come a few minutes before the opening and you will be among the first in the queue to settle down and you can enjoy your lunch or dinner as you want. ah yes and the price is a little high but good, it takes what it takes.
kunitorya was one of our favorite addresses when it was located on Ste-Anne Street. But since his move, we haven't been back there often. not because of the kitchen, which remains very good with the best bet udon. But because of the very small room. and it's not uncommon to have to wait in the street while there's room in the room (surely because the cooks can't follow the cadence?). but especially since its move to Villedo street, the card has taken 3-4 euros overall. which makes the value-price ratio is sacredly lowered. After the first time I wanted to go back. I specify that the photo you see with wooden window frames does not represent the true piece that appears on the contrary in the following photos with several seats on the sidewalk.This is the line.. but on average, you do not expect much... service is fast but you do not understand much. There is a menu in English if they don't give it to you, ask. I strongly advise cold udon. The rest I tasted was delicious! I add a few pictures of salmon and rice tapas and a hot plate of rice, vegetables and shrimp.

I love udons, I took nature cold udons (10€ because it was hot and we were strait and with the lunch menu it is 7€ more for tuna rice in a leaf of nori and pane pork
