I placed an order through doordash for several plates from taco ole. I wasn’t aware it would be from taco ole in Sharyland. However, doordash cancelled the order after it was paid, for what ever reason. I received a notice that I would get a full refund. I then called to taco ole in mission to ask for details since I didn’t understand why it was cancelled. I simply asked the lady “Carolina” about the order. I just wanted to replace the order. Doordash was giving me a refund in 5 days which was fine with me. Carolina was disrespectful and would not let me speak. The restaurant is good overall, but there are issues with the customer service. The female employees there do not allow customers to speak to Mr. Palamo (the owner) or the supervisor when there are mistakes. Safety protocols are followed, and the restaurant offers takeout for breakfast at a price range of $1-10 per person. They offer dine-in, takeout, delivery, and curbside pickup services, but outdoor seating is not available.
When open for dine-in, food and service are average at the best. Greasy, over spiced and over cooked. Dried out from extended time on the steam table. Curb side is slow. The food is cold and the servers are rude like they are doing you a favor. The last three visits I ordered the same thing, Caldo de Res. Every time the temperature was different, Portion size was different and the contents were different.
TO GO!! Rice Beans Steak+Chicken w/ Flour and Corn Tortillas Gallon of Ice Tea Chips and Salsa Delicious home kitchen taste from Taco Ole’. Hard to find platters sold like this in Bay Area/Valley California. I make sure I have an opportunity to purchase one to enjoy before I leave the state of Texas!

Food is not what it used to be. Told prices over phone but when picking up order, you get charged 10 dollars more.
