My boyfriend and I make it a point to visit the seaside as often as we can, and one of our favorite traditions during these trips is stopping at Uncle Dood's for donuts on our way home. As a pastry chef, I love exploring local bakeries, and my boyfriend has a particular fondness for donuts, which makes this place special for both of us. Without a doubt, these are the best donuts we've ever had. Each time we visit, they are just as delicious as we remember. While they're best enjoyed warm and fresh, we still savor them over the next 24-36 hours (haha). The service is quick and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the donuts are worth every penny and more. Oh, and the coffee was fantastic...
I’ve been wanting to stop by this place for 3 years but timing was never right! But went there a little before closing and didn’t bring cash. But both ladies were nice enough to chip in and give one to me. I want to thank them for their amazing customer service because I’m definitely returning with cash next time. On to the food the donut was moist and amazing! It was nothing like dunking donuts. But wayyyyyy better. Classic plain, powder sugar, cinnamon sugar, then many monthly specials. Got the car bomb which is like a Boston crème and the inner filling was amazing! Thank you both for making our Saturday! Inside looks really cute but is window sale only.
I wanted a JELLY donut and TOASTED COCONUT donut. She assured me the jelly is injected and that it would be full of jelly. Nope, not so. The TOASTED COCONUT has absolutely no flavor except the thick layer of icing they use to keep the coconut on. Horrible. EVERY DONUT TASTES THE SAME. Not good, any of them. The French toast donut is just gross, the maple icing tastes fake. Again EVERY DONUT TASTES THE SAME. The plain donut or the powdered sugar are at least edible. That's the only positive thing I have to say about this place. And I never leave bad reviews, but this place deserves it.
I ordered some of these really unique flavored donuts. It is a walk up window kind of place and the donut flavors appear to have specials each month. They were interesting bitt not great tasting, just average. The donuts were a bit dry cake donuts but the toppings and flavors were great. All in all, a cool experience and a neat thing to serve the family, but not something I would get often. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I’ve been to uncle doods a handful of times and they’ve always been very friendly! The donuts range from cereals, coconut, chocolate, and berry toppings and change monthly. You can never go wrong with the cereal toppings from here. It is on the sweeter side but worth it since they’re made on the spot!
One of kind donuts spot with historical roots in the surrounding community and loved extremely by the locals, the donuts go fast but only because they are the freshest around. Highly recommended first thing in the morning . First come first serve. Enjoy
Some of the best doughnuts I’ve ever had in my life. They put the toppings on when you order, so no crusty old doughnuts that have been sitting around for hours. Also they are so reasonably priced IMO! Get the Samoa!
The donuts are tasty but quite sweet; we struggled to finish them in one sitting. Reducing the sweetness a bit would help bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients more. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Fantastic as always! I called 20 minutes before our group arrived today, and it was a huge success. Everyone loved the food!
