This restaurant is a family fave for a few years now. We go once every two or three months.Larry the owner has from the beginning always made a point of coming to chat to us, and many other patrons during the night. It has come to the point where he knows each of our names and knows things about our lives. The other staff members are always friendly and hard working. The decor is simple and all this combined add to the warm welcoming vibe of the restaurant. It is always packed no matter what night of the week, so the atmosphere is always happy and noisy. we had a birthday voucher that was 2 weeks over-due but Larry as always puts customers 1st and let us use the voucher, so tops marks on customer service Larry as many restaurant owners are not as generous.Ours was family visit, lots of vegetarian options as one member vegetarian, that was a good, kids loved their red and green chicken dishes.The curry puffs for entrée were really nice and fresh. It was a Sunday night so it was very busy but wait time were good, it is quite big inside, could not fault the service at all, very genuine.
Very busy restaurant almost a product of its own success as its a bit noisy at times. Food always good and Larry always cheerful and welcoming. Food always consistently good although think a charge for drinking a tinny at the table is a bit unAustralian as you are not using a glass. Love the food and prices are reasonable. .
An absolute gem of a place in woodvale. Authentic Thai food served by fantastic staff. Was very busy when we were there but organised and short waiting times. BYO alcohol. Very disappointed, I love Thai food and particularly a red curry chicken but this was by far the worst I've ever had in fact it was more green than red and tasteless, just pure coconut milk with chicken in. Shame.
This is our 'go to' restaurant whenever we have visitors. It is local and we have NEVER had a bad meal! The food is always fabulous and such a friendly atmosphere. Really worth a visit!

You can always get great authentic Thai food at 'Larrys' Unique Thai. BYO, very good and prompt service and they also have take away service. Food is always fresh and hot.
