On our first visit, we went with the kids for a simple lunch and encountered extremely slow service. The prices were exorbitant, and the sandwiches were, quite frankly, the worst I've ever experienced. My kids, who were very hungry, couldn't even finish their meals. Our second visit was intended to be a pleasant evening out. Unfortunately, the starter soup was inedible, the main course was lackluster, and the bill was exorbitantly high. The third time, we tried their buffet, which was mostly unappetizing. The service was terrible, and the price was far too steep for what was offered. Overall, I cannot recommend Uptown based on my experiences.
We have been dining with Adam Roz for nearly 30 years, starting at their original location in Uptown Norfolk back in 1981. Now, whenever we visit Northern New England, we always make a point to stop at the Uptown. It offers a fantastic gourmet dining experience in a charming small-town setting, along with excellent service!
We started with Angels on Horseback for an appetizer, smoked oysters wrapped in bacon, and they were amazing! Lee had prime rib with Hashbrowns Barney and I had shrimp linguine. The entire meal was superb! Highly recommended!

Food is made from scratch and absolutely delicious! We usually leave over full because we keep eating! Many options to choose from on the buffet.
