I have so much to say about this place. I don't even know where to begin. While giving our drink order my sister got to her fourth option before they had what she asked for. They were out of so much stuff. It was ridiculous. The waitress had no knowledge of the menu. They have all you can eat seafood posted on two different menus at two different prices. One of which is the happy hour price. We were there during happy hour, ordering our drinks and food from the happy hour menu. However, they didn't want to honor the happy hour seafood price. I work in the same shopping center. Me and my co workers have wondered about it. So 1 night I decided to get 1 of both their crab soups. It’s a crab place ,it’s baltimore and you can’t really mess up crab soup. I asked the host if it was pre made when I ordered. She said no. That was my first clue. I thought ok maybe they know something I don’t. They were both unedible. Took 1 bite of each and trashed them right after. Soup needs to cook it needs to be pre made if the host was wrong and it was pre made then they need a new recipe or help. Went Sunday, December 12 2021 service was very slow. Took way too long for the food to come out. I was there with my husband. I order scallops and shrimp, I thought I was getting a shrimp broil. Well, that was not the case. First, my scallops came. Then 5 mins later my shrimp. No corn no potatoes or egg that I ask for nothing. Then 5 mins later my husband gets his shrimp basket. Then time goes by and his salad comes. The place wasn't busy at all we did order acheesecake and a chocolate cake. I went during happy hour which it’s from 4-7pm Monday-Friday. The menu that was offer had great selections from seafood to wings. The drinks were strong. We had the bartender Dazmen. She was professional and polite. Honestly she was overworked! She was the only bartender serving 15+ people. Dazmen did an incredible job!!!! We encounter a very unprofessional hostess being on her cellphone the entire time behind the desk, taking calls outside while people need to pay their bill or be seated. The establishment seemed like a great place to go for my wife?s seafood cravings but, boy was we wrong ???? place was pretty empty the greeter was friendly but , the waiter seemed out of place like he didn?t know what he was doing I ordered seafood gumbo and let me tell you it was not that it was brown gravy pooled around rice with a couple of shrimp some okra and bits of scallop and somebody in the back decided to throw old bay in it and say presto gumbo my wife gotan seafood boil with noodles the noodles was the main attraction the shrimp weren?t Devined still had feces the muscles where over cooked crawfish where poor and there was little to no sauce wouldn?t go back .
This was almost 5stars but the misleading happy hour marketing needed updating (the business website and flyers/posters posted still up in restaurant) AND it could use more flavor. Was not giving urban in the taste department. But still everything was good. Good customer service, fried food taste good and drinks was delicious. Did not expect to have so much fun in NE Baltimore County, but I did. Ran into quite a few familiar faces. Drinks were ok. Food was regular bar food. Happy hour prices were decent.

Urban Crab Shack is a great place to eat, watch a game and enjoy some drinks. Note to owner: tighten your bar stools they are loose.
