My family and I occasionally go here for dinner to get garlic noodles and Pho. The place has a nice modern industrial feel to it as you enter and order at the counter.Tonight we ordered the Gochujang Baby Back Ribs with garlic noodles. The baby back ribs are marinated in their house gochujang sauce. Meat is tender and you can pull it off the bone. Sauce was slightly salty but was able to correct it with a lemon wedge. The salad it comes with is a spring mix.In addition, we got the Filet Mignon with Seasoned Fried Rice. The filet mignon cubes are sautéed with fresh onions and garlic, in their house soy sauce. The tables aren’t always spotless and can feel a bit sticky, which can be uncomfortable if you're sitting for an extended period. I’ve tried the garlic noodles with prawns and the rotisserie chicken before—the chicken has a sweet flavor that complements the garlic noodles nicely. On my latest visit, I stayed for a while and opted for the garlic fries as a snack. They were tasty at first, but after a while, they became a bit too salty and garlicky for my liking. The Vietnamese coffee is fantastic, though I don't think it's quite as strong as Lee's Vietnamese coffee. I'm looking forward to trying their pad Thai and curry next time.
The food was decent! Garlic noodles were good. We got the filet mignon cubes the crispy chicken for the protein but I personally liked the crispy chicken more.The popcorn chicken was okay, wasn't as crispy as we would have liked. The food was served to us and it came out pretty quickly. Service was decent, as well. Ambiance wise, plenty of seats inside. We went on a Wednesday evening and it was just us two and one more person inside. Price is decent. There's plenty of parking because it's inside a structure with other stores nearby, like 85 degrees.
Came back a second time, excited to have an amazingly satisfying lunch and I was again not disappointed. The food took a while to come out, the waitress did let me know they had an issue in the kitchen and apologized for the wait. Once my food came out it was as delicious as I remembered. Another gentleman came out to apologize again for the wait and indicated they do not send out food until it is perfect. To which I was very appreciative. Made my preggo tummy happy. Yummy!
Got in at least half an hour before the lunch rush, so half our table got their food and half of ours never did so we had to eventually ask for it to go. At least 6 tables came in while we were waiting and got their food before us. By time we got our food it was already about an hour. The half of the table that did get their food was already done as well as at least 1 other table. The servers were working fast and hard, but there was clearly a problem managing orders.
Among best pho I’ve ever had (my wife is Vietnamese American) and the restaurant’s vibe is tight — true SoCal feel with classic tracks and not too loud. Hustling business on a Friday evening and the service still great!
I don’t get to dine in as often as I used to, but I’m in the area, I love stopping here and doing some work. Today, the music was way too loud, and the music was “ratchet”. No wonder it’s empty when I walked in.
