Just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Santa Monica, Urth Caffe is an oasis of real and healthy food in an area where food processing is the norm. I stopped by Urth for breakfast one morning and ordered everything to go as I was in a hurry. I got a regular coffee (the best coffee I've had in California so far) and can't exactly remember the name of the breakfast, but it essentially consisted of two poached eggs on a bed of fresh vegetables, garnish, and two slices of toasted whole grain bread. It was fresh and light, yet satisfying... exactly what I was looking for after indulging the night before at Bubba Gump. I wish I had time to come back for lunch, the menu looked...
Pizza Huevos Rancheros was the only vegan option served for brunch. It was good. Delicious actually, although it was pricey 16). It was also a good serving size that might feed two people if you really stretch it. The eggs in the original pizza were substituted for vegan eggs, likely made from something like “Just Egg”. I went to the Urth Caffe in Hawthorne (which I can’t find on Happy Cow).
I have suffered my experience in urth sincerely! I have the portobello panini and it was probably one of the best vegan paninis I ever had. I added avocado that was worth it (wouldve without it smashed) I also got the vegan pumpkin cake was amazing as well as a game with mandelmilch! I would like to see a tad more options (maybe more speed/tofu options,) but I liked it overall!
The Spanish Latte Granita reminds me of a Frappuccino a little sweet for my taste but delicious. The Pumpki Fondant Pound Cake slice is so perfectly fall and there is so much of it. Cant wait to eat the leftovers with coffee tomorrow morning. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Everything Ive ordered so far has been great! The food always taste fresh. This place also has some of the best coffee blends Ive ever tried. I would take caution ordering eggs if youre not close by, as they may get cold in transit
Heirloom Burrata salad yum. Fresh arugula, excellent Balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Salmon plate good but they keep forgetting the bagel in the order! Salmon, cream cheese not as awesome without toasted bagel.
super delicious vegan portobello panini. they have milk and vegan desserts. Limited vegan options- but super tasty options- vegan mandelkäse vegan pesto. the biggest part was the super long waiting period.

Everything was wonderful. Plain tostada yummy, Urth full salad fresh and delicious. Even the scramble light and hit the spot for the kiddos.
