Ury - Tisch resevieren

Unfortunately we did not see this restaurant at it's best. It was the day of a rugby final so it was packed. Knowing how busy the place would be we reserved a table and got seated on time. after a short wait we ordered and drinks and nibbles arrived quite quickly. Starters then came luke warm, and not particularly special. We then waited, and waited, and waited. An hour and three quarters after we arrived there was still no sign of a main course or any service we had tried to catch the eyes of the people working there several times. We had a wonderful meal at Ury. The flavours were amazing and the service excellent: friendly and efficient despite being under tremendous pressure due to the vast numbers of diners (as a result of the European Rugby finals being staged in the city on this weekend). We will definitely return the next time we are in Newcastle.

Had a great meal here. Service and food was excellent, and COVID measures in place without feeling overwhelming. A lovely evening in strange times!
