The drive to get here is spectacular. Once here, you enter a cave building though if you go to the very back you encounter daylight again, with a little balcony offering great views down the gorge back to the coast. They have menus in different languages and we ordered from the starters menu (tapas style stuff). Between 2 adults and 2 kids we ordered four tapas plus bread and this was more than enough! They were big plates. This made it a relatively cheap meal (36 euros) compared to our typical Gran Canaria meal which came in more like 47 euros pretty consistently. During a two-week holiday in Gran Canaria, my wife and I went to the Guayadeque ravine that is situated west of Agüimes. We spent a couple of hours hiking up the ravine and after returning to our car drove to the top where we found Restaurante Vega. Like most of the other buildings in the ravine, most of the restaurant is in a cave. However, there was a room offering spectacular views of the canyon, where sat enjoying a local beer. Worth popping into if you are visiting the ravine.
Drove here as part of a tour of the island and had a pleasant lunch Friday 19th. Was served by a very kind and polite waiter. I had the fish tacos/fish cubes and was fine afterwards but started to feel a bit unwell 3 hours later. Went out for dinner in Playa Del Ingles later in the evening but had vegan food. Vomited profusely at 5am and then again at 9pm the same day. I suspect the fish was not well prepared and has resulted in food poisoning. Approach with caution
We have been there for lunch with a toddler. We had a variety of tapas and as dessert the famous povito. Everything was just delicious! The atmosphere in the „cave“ is very cosy, too. So far it was the best restaurant in GC for us. The (whole) piglet in saltcrust lookes very good as well. If you go there with a group there is the possibly to order in advance.

This restaurant has amazing views from the terrace. The food is excellent great value. My Veal Stew was delicious was less than £6.00. Others had Grilled Pork Steaks with Garlic at the same price. All dishes came with fries. The service was friendly. Definitely the place to go for lunch in Guayadeque!
This restaurant is actually in a cave and you can sit in the cave quite comfortably. However we sat on the outside terrace which has a view down a dry river bed to the ocean. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. It is also a very good area for walking.
It's in the hills and definitely worth the drive. We went there at 1 pm and were one of the only guest. The service was quick and very friendly. We shared tapas and had a dessert afterwards. Almost too much to eat. But it was very good. The view is absolutely stunning.
The restaurant serves various local canarian dishes. Basic food but very tasty and cheap. A good indication that the food is good is that there are so many locals who eat there also. Very busy place. The atmosphere in the cave is a great experience.

The food was delicious, the service was great. They have menus in different languages. Since we came from Denmark, the prices did not seem to too high at all. I loved the experience and the mountain view.
