Been here a couple of times, cupcakes are good, quiche fine. It was fine. I'd like to see less soy heavy products. Soy is definitely easy to work with, tofu, etc. But a slice of quiche is over $7, it's made with tofu. A block of tofu costs 99-$2 at the grocery store. This is a good place to introduce people to the idea of meat/dairy replacement I hope they stick around and evolve into creating vegan food that isn't considered a replacement but rather able to be what it is, good, clean food. We all start somewhere, and this is a good place to start for those trying the veg-diet. Vegan East started in White Bear and has since expanded to Uptown very quickly! It's easy to see why. Their baked goods are excellent and they also offer gluten free options on top of being dairy-free. They also have some food like quiche and soup along with ice cream sammies! Everything I've had has bee great. Their White Bear Lake location used to be a tea shop so it's close to my heart but it is a little dark and not too cute to hang out in so I usually take away my snacks
Had two flavors of quiche, cinnamon roll and muffins. They looked great, but muffins greasy/flavorless, Quiche pretty dry and cinnamon roll kinda flat. Staff also didn't understand that we wanted to split a pot of tea, and charged us for two pots of tea which cost as much as the pastries!! Have had much better, in my home and in other vegan establishments. Nice to have more vegan options, I guess.
I'm so happy to have found Sheila and her amazing cupcakes! The frosting is like buttercream, and I've enjoyed every flavor I've tried. None of them have been overly sweet or sugary, and they're always moist and fresh. The Peanut Butter Chocolate is probably my favorite it has just the right blend of peanut butter and chocolate. I would recommend Vegan East to anyone.

Crowds came out to support the Grand Opening of Vegan East! When I arrived at 11:00- the bakery case had been picked clean except for a tray of Chocolate Chip Cookies. They staff was bustling to refill the case! These cookies are delicious! Chewy and Chocolate chippy! I’ll be back to try the other tasty treats!
we visit vegan east as often as we can when we visit minnesota. the cinnamon rolls are the best, we also love the cookies, cakes and cupcakes. the room is very nice to hang out and enjoy a tasty egg. they also sell discounted frozen cookies that we store
Vegan East has only been open for a few weeks now, but they have been an incredible addition to the White Bear Lake community. They offer quite a variety, super friendly staff, and even gluten-free vegan options!
The cupcakes here are addicting. Beautiful and delicious! The Matcha cupcake is my favorite but not always available, unfortunately.
