For starters that table was dirty when we walked in at 11:45, it was still dirty when we left, that other photo is the handwashing sink that is used as a plastic couple holder this place LOVES disposable plastic), and that plate is the buffalo wings, with Homemade buffalo sauce!!!! Not really, that's jarred sweet chili sauce and a basic bang bang sauce...not really buffalo style, my kids burger was supposed to be a beyond burger, def was not, but whatever the patties were made of they were 100% deep fried ... Basically, the place seemed dirty, they had health code violations I could spot without even visiting the kitchen, the food isn't as described on the menu, and the entire plastic waste...
Appearances can be misleading. Don't be put off by this tiny vegan Chinese restaurant. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. We tried the veggie tempura sushi roll, kung pao fusion, and vegetable stir-fried rice, and we had no complaints at all. We're definitely planning to return to sample more items on the menu. They also offer sandwiches. From what I gathered, the vegan protein options are primarily soy-based, with some dishes featuring seitan. Service: Dine-in.
The Vegan Tree in Matawan NJ has been around for maybe 8 years or so. This is the first time I am trying it because a lot of their menu has soy protein, which I don't always eat. Had the BLT wrap with avocados, which was very fresh and full of tasty flavor. The only issue for me is that most items are $13 or more, which makes it a bit costly. Overall the food was good. **Food:** This is my favorite spot for takeout. I've always enjoyed everything I've ordered from the menu, so I have no complaints about the food.
**Location:** The restaurant itself leaves much to be desired; it’s situated in a shopping strip next to a cigar shop. If you’re particular about the dining atmosphere, be aware that it doesn't offer a "5-star vibe," even though the food is fantastic.

I have been visiting this restaurant with friends and family for years, and recently I've started getting takeout, making a 20-minute drive each time! The food is amazing and consistently delicious. Some of my favorite dishes include the Kung Pan Spaghetti, BLT Wrap, Philly Sub, and Cheese Bread. I've sampled almost everything on the menu, and it’s all excellent—these are just my top picks. Great takeout place. The best vegan Chinese food. My favorite is the Golden Charm. I swear I am eating meat. It’s nice and spicy too. The beet rice is so good. One plate is a bit pricey compared to regular Chinese food, but it is worth it. They also do catering, which we always get for holidays for my vegan relatives. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
The food at this restaurant is exceptional. I am always thoroughly impressed with the N2 Kung Pao Spaghetti; it’s delicious and served in generous portions. The A6 Scallion Pancakes are fantastic too—I often end up ordering two servings at once!
