Looking for somewhere to have breakfast on Sunday morning, we 'Googled ' and spotted this place quite nearby. We 'd been past it several times over the years, but had never stopped to try it. Having been today, it won 't be the last time we eat there. Although we like Portuguese food, we chose to have the English breakfast, which comprised four or five rashers of smoked streaky bacon, baked beans, scrambled egg and two slices of toasted Portuguese bread. This, for two people, together with two galoa, two white coffee and two pastel do nata came to less than €20. Portugal, in special Algarve is getting worse on the service. I kindly ask the lady, if they re an alternative for milk due i have lactose tolerance. And she rudely say it no and later one i asked for mayonnaise for the toast sandwich and she rudly said to me that i should ask before and what i need for. What a joke, there are plenty coffee s here and i will never come back here. 5 starts for the server that went to the table. But the women staff the takes your ordee (owner), what a rude lady.
Although there are numerous places for coffee and cakes, in Quarteira where our apartment is, we always drive to Almencil for breakfast/brunch at Venepao. It's a pastelaria, that has cakes,coffee, bread and serves food too!. Always seems busy but that's not bad thing. Two galaos, two toasted cheese and ham sandwich and to Pastel de mates €8! Always good good and service.
Stopped by here for a bite to eat there is a wonderful array of sweet and savoury goodies and some lovely bread and rolls. We have been meaning to call in for some time and finally made it. There is a great range of savoury items as well as pastries on offer. To add to this there are various home cooked breads for sale. Good food, great staff and well worth a visit.
If you have 5 euros and want a great coffee, amazing cake and still get change come here. They also do a huge range of breakfasts, toasties, sandwiches, omolettes and pizzas. Sit in or outside on a large terrace, Cafes as they should be.
Always packed with happy customers, the bakery is top quality and prices reasonable. The staff works hard to get the line served quickly. Great place to grab a cake for parties and a quick snack as well.

This cafe has the best Pastrel de Nata in Portugal. Their white coffee is also good. The staff are all so happy to see you and the service is excellent. Great value for money.
