This scenically beautiful restaurant was sold to us and we were taken there recently only to be disappointed. The family who run it were great but the food was not even average. The mixed starter of assorted meats and pate were bought from a supermarket and only the wrapping was missing and the asparagus tasted of the vinegar it had been preserved in. The main course of cep omelette was so undercooked that you would need a soup spoon to eat it and the ceps were in fact ordinary mushrooms. The chuleta was so salty and garlic covered that it was almost inedible. Even the bread was stale. All a great shame as we were told it was all home cooked food. Cela fait plus de 40 ans que je viens déjeuner dans ce restaurant. À l’époque, on disait que l’on allait manger à la veuve, je n’ai jamais su pourquoi… La nourriture servie n’ a absolument pas changé tout au long de ces années. L’omelette aux cèpes est particulièrement délicieuse, ainsi que les côtes d’agneau ou le merlu servi avec des pommes chips maison. Malheureusement, la terrasse extérieure n’est plus ouverte qu’aux mois de juillet et août , par manque de personnel. N’oubliez pas de réserver, c’est souvent complet.
Es un merendero con comida de calidad principalmente hecha a la plancha, fue una decepción por que esperábamos comer la carne especial que promocionan en su pagina y sentarnos en la cueva, pero es solo durante 4 meses al año. Son mesas corridas y Solo los privilegiados que estén cerca pueden disfrutar las vistas. La clientela era toda francesas excepto nosotros. El servicio muy amable. Aconsejo pedir carne, el plato de pulpo lo encontré muy caro, la cantidad era más de tapa.
Excellent meal with a view. The place is amazing, the waiter very helpful with suggestions especially for little kids. We will definitely come back, and we will recommend to our friends. I suggest the “poulpe à la plancha” and “les côtelettes d’agneau” avec homemade French fries. And to finish with “crème brûlée”. And “assiette de jambon” of course.
