My family and I had planned to celebrate a special occasion during Chinese New Year at this restaurant. However, we were disappointed with the service. The food we ordered did not arrive within the 30-40 minute time frame we were told when making our reservation at 6:30pm (after waiting on hold for 5 minutes). Just Eat also provided incorrect delivery time estimates, delaying our order by over 20-40 minutes. There were no notifications or updates about the delays, and when I called at 8pm to inquire about my order being over an hour late, I was informed that it was not even ready to be sent out for delivery yet. Unbelievably disgusting food. Ordered on 10/06/20. Over salted like mad to mask up the flavour of rotten ingredients. Chicken in black bean came as a mush, veg had been obliterated by over boiling, or more likely to have just been kept warm for days just waiting to sell. Crispy duck also mushy and fatty with very little to desire. Ate 20% of my order and binned the rest. The next day I'm furiously vomitting, admitted to hospital on 12/06/20 as the stomach cramps and vomitting were getting worse and unbearable. Despite the country being in a medical emergency for COVID, the doctors found me to be critical enough to be admitted to a critical care ward. Fast forward to now 17/06/20 I'm back at...
I was recommended this take away Chinese by a work colleague. The first time we tried it we visited in person and waited for our food (Singapore fried rice, king prawn balls, king prawn chow mien and chicken in black bean sauce). It was delicious. We have since ordered on line several times and had our food delivered and I'm pleased to say we have had no complaints with either delivery waiting time or food quality. Our current favourite take away for Chinese food.
Takeaway or Delivery My chinese fave when in the area!! Serving the community for so many years. Food always tastes fresh and well prepared. Staff are so friendly and helpful. By far the food from Very Nice is one of the best Chinese food I have tried in London, which was fully reminded when we popped into Soho China town last Thursday. The menu is quite extensive, the service is prompt, portions generous and the food delicious! Highly recommended.
The restaurant is consistently great. I have been a customer for the past seven years and the food is always amazing. We are fortunate to have such a fantastic takeaway option in Catford.
