It is a good four star place of its kind. I was tempted to give this place five stars just to pull it up the rankings as I feel there are some reviews which are unfair . Maybe some people had different expectations and were disappointed . It is not a classy restaurant , not a family run, cosy eating experience. Rather it is a bit old fashioned , quite basically furnished , though providing a perfectly adequate and jolly atmosphere on a Saturday night . We went twice with friends at the Victoria Restaurant. the first time I had taken a burger good enough, even if the price quality ratio was medium (a little expensive for the dish) but everything was pretty good. the second time this week I took tagliatelles with vegetables, very pretty plate but the taste was not. The plate was fade, frozen vegetables without interest. A friend didn’t eat her cream burnt either, she found it unpleasant. fortunately, the server was very friendly and attentive, we had a digestive offered for disappointment of the dish! Very friendly service both at reception and at the table. Delicious home cooking and careful presentation. The service listens to specific requests and the kitchen and bar team responds promptly. We had a very pleasant lunch break on the shaded terrace. PS: the interior of the establishment is magnificent, with authentic “early 20th century” decor.
After a disappointing lunch another day nearby, we approached Victor with some trepidation. No need for that! The plat du jour was sold out but the Caesar salad from the menu, accompanied by drinks from an extensive selection was fine. We finished up with cafe gourmand all in all, a great lunch
