Vila Adentro - Tisch resevieren

We enjoyed this restaurant so much on a visit to Faro last year that made the effort to return to it specifically again this year. We were not disappointed. I find it difficult to understand some of the reviews about bad service and poor value for money. We enjoyed a very pleasant service experience, the food was simply marvellous and, in comparison to northern Europe, was terrific value. Maybe the reduced tourist numbers in September is the explanation as I'm sure there is tremendous pressure on restaurants during the very busy months of June, July and August. We would be very happy to return to Vila Adentro and sample all it has to offer again the future.

Very disappointing meal. We came here for the Cartaplanna, to sample traditional Portuguese cooking. The staff were very pleasant and the ingredients of the dish were excellent. However, they had been badly handled. We had the Octopus Cartaplanna. There was very little seafood flavour in the stock and the seafood itself was overcooked and therefore very rubbery. There was plenty of seafood in the dish but it was just not good. Our friends had the vegetarian Cartaplanna and they said it was 'okay '. For the prices charged we would expect much better.

Localizado no coração da cidade velha, este lugar não é tão fácil de encontrar, mas quando você chegar lá, seu coração ficará lá para sempre. Interior elegante com elementos culturais e históricos, cozinha tradicional portuguesa perfeitamente confeccionada, boa escolha de vinhos e outras bebidas, ambiente agradável e por último, mas provavelmente o mais importante tripulação maravilhosa. Obrigado a todos que dirigem este lugar, pelo breve mas comovente momento de ser seu convidado.

Nice location and terrace setting. Service is poor and we waited one hour to get our main course after our starters were picked up. If kitchen resources are limited I would recommend to reduce the number of tables and to provide a better service. At the time food arrived we were not even hungry anymore. One beautiful little gem. It is a must visit. Food spectacular. Service 5* you have to wait, but it is so worth it. Bonus, it’s very reasonable do not waste your money in the main eating area.

Ordered cartaplanna seafood. Very disappointed lacking in flavour, seafood overcooked so rather tough, such a shame as good ingredients used.
