This is the worst meal I have had in L’Estartit having owned an apartment here for 5 years and eaten out a lot. The service was terrible and the food horrid. I had to ask for our starters twice and this was after my daughter had been served and finished her main course of bland cannelloni. Not sure what steak my son had but gristle and bone were plentiful in his main course! When my wife and I were finally served our main course after both children had finished theirs, we were given a meat paella having ordered a fish paella being vegetarians. I was told there had been a mix up in the kitchen and that ours was ready in one minute. A further 15 minutes later when our paella still hadn’t been...
Many visits each year over the last 30 years. This was the first one in August for many years, usually early or later in the season. It was packed but the wonderful family dragged tables from inside to accommodate party of nine. Waited over 30 minutes for drinks and to give order for food. Waited over an hour and in the end, we ate main course and asked for ice cream in tubs to take home with us and children had lost the will to live. Went again, four weeks later and they were still apologising to us for previous visit. Mental note, swerve if busy otherwise, great place at economy price
Comida excepcional!! Siempre que venimos a l'Estartit repetimos en el restaurante Vila-Tascons. El trato familiar y agradable. El servicio es atento y muy amable. Me gusta muchísimo sus mejillones, chipirones, lubina y su paella. Deliciosa. También pedimos la última vez fideuà y nos gustó mucho. Lo recomidendo para venir en familia puesto que tiene una amplia terraza para comer o cenar tranquilamente. Nosotros volveremos a repetir seguro!! gracias a todos por vuestro trato!! Sóis realmente vocacionales y profesionales.
Everytime we visit estartit it is our habit to drop bags at apartment and go for our first meal! Buttifara and white beans, never ever do i change this, all year I wait until I can have it again! Lovely friendly family that run it, also very honest, I once left my hand bag there with 3 thousand euros in it, they saved it for me to collect the next day x x

We have dined here many times and the ‘Menu’ is tremendous value. It’s not the most romantic venue (outside) as you are facing a derelict hotel; pity. However if you just want good value food in a family run place, this is definitely worth a visit.
Went during a coldish night and there were a few people in. They do the most brilliant black rice I have ever tasted. The staff are really nice too.
the staffs are very attentive and friendly...good menu. good value for the price...we enjoyed our visit on this Easter...hope we will back agan....
Went with friends the food was good but the service was slow not all the meals served at the same But will go again in September

Had lunch here today. Good food, excellent service, friendly staff and great prices. We eat here on every visit to the area.
good choice of inexpensive menus. Decent service from friendly staff. Good value for the price. Would recommend trying it.
