The location is beautiful and very pretty. The atmosphere is great, with a focus on eating and price. However, the quality is more like a banquet hall than anything else. The fettuccine alfredo is not authentic Italian, it tastes more like something from New Jersey. The quality of the food is not great, it's obvious that they are cutting corners to save money, like using cheap Parmesan cheese instead of the real thing. They promote and enforce a family-style dining concept, which seems more like a way to cater to large groups rather than provide a quality dining experience. On the evening of October 1st, 2022, I went out for dinner with my spouse and his colleagues for the first time. Unfortunately, the restaurant we chose turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and was extremely disappointed with the dish. The chicken was tough, the pasta was undercooked, and one piece of chicken even appeared to be raw. After notifying the staff, they brought me a different dish without checking if it was what I wanted. When I declined the replacement, they informed me it would take another 20 minutes to prepare another chicken parmigiana. Being a cook myself, I sensed that the ingredients were not fresh. They would not have enough...customers for that. We found the owner superficial. While he had a smile, we felt it was not genuine. We found the owner rude and not at all like the review on a winery site. The food was over-priced and poorly made. The owner came out of the kitchen smoking which did not make us feel good about the hygiene so we took a...look. The kitchen was not the most clean looking. Also, the table cloths looked like they had been used several times by different patrons. The owner is selling and said that business was bad. Not the thing to say to patrons !! We had a meal here and cannot agree with the person who stayed in an RV and left a comment. We did notice them and thought perhaps they were a relative. The menu was marginal. The place did not look clean. After our meal we...had a conversation with someone in Warkworth. While the comment was not verified, we feel it is worth noting. The local person told us that the owner grows his own animals to use in his restaurant. sheep) If correct, this is not permitted in Canada. Pasta was cold and sauce bland. This was our second visit and the first was much better. The owners were even aware of problems and blamed them on staffing issues. We are sympathetic and the service was not the issue. The food was poorly prepared...What was supposed to be a warm loaf of bread was hard as a rock from reheating too many times. We had the veal and the sauce was oily and overly salted. The views are nice, but for the price we expected better food.

We stayed here as an overnight guest in our RV van. It was the end of our two week travel holiday and it was our splurge evening. And we did! The menu gave many options so very hard to decide. I purchased a bottle with no label, the cork had a torn top and the bottle had a screw top. The wine had a very bitter taste and did not match its price. I was hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, it fell short.
