This restaurant is a hidden gem that should not be missed. Tucked away from the main street, you would never know it was there. The staff is incredibly friendly and quick to answer any questions or accommodate special requests. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious, with large portions and the option to make almost everything vegetarian. The hot chips served with unlimited salsa were a personal favorite, and the churro cheesecake was a delightful surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. They are very accommodating to vegetarians, willing to modify dishes or even create something new. They are also able to cater to dietary restrictions.
I stopped by this restaurant on a whim and will definitely be returning regularly. We ordered the fish tacos and a carnitas burrito, both of which were delicious. The fish tacos were the best I've had since moving from the west coast 6 years ago. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly in a light batter, while the coleslaw was fresh and the sauce was flavorful. The carnitas burrito was filled with rice, cheese, onions, and fresh ingredients, resulting in a unique and tasty combination. The owner/waiter was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend adding this restaurant to your list of places to visit. See you there!
Just go. Absolutely unbelievable top notch mexican food. I thought Casa Ortega’s burrito couldn’t be matched, but somehow Villa Picante’s is right up there with it, if not better. I’d like to see the chefs battle it out. I’ll volunteer as judge, because I’m just so gracious like that and committed to the community, y’know? :
