I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I stopped by to grab some food and decided to dine in. When I was ready to place my order, I asked for a Calzone, but the waitress informed me that they were available for takeout only. My son was also planning to order. I inquired if it would be possible for him to order something else from the menu while I ordered the Calzone, and then for us to stay and eat there since I didn't want to eat in the car. Unfortunately, she refused and I chose to leave instead. Overall, I was very disappointed. Service: 1
I recently rediscovered this restaurant and I'm so glad I returned on a whim. It has clearly been renovated, featuring a modern look. The menu offers classic Italian-American cuisine with generous portions. The food arrived piping hot—I couldn’t even dig in right away! The mussels were swimming in a delicious red sauce, and we happily dipped the warm, toasted bread into it instead of using butter—no regrets there!
I ordered the eggplant parmesan as an entree through GrubHub, and I was pretty disappointed. It came with just one thin slice of melted mozzarella on top and tasted mostly like eggplant with Prego sauce. The portion size was generous, but it was served with stale bread. We want to like this restaurant for many reasons. The main reason is because it is local. Staff is competent, but the food is so overly salted. The service is excellent and the food is always fresh. My favorite is the honey chicken panini, but the salads are fantastic too. I highly recommend this place!
