I ordered food the day before valentines for me and my girlfriend as that were our night off together. She was going to pick it up after work on her way so I rang and placed the order for pick up. 2 minutes later I rang back and changed it to delivery as for 19:45 as my girlfriend was still on the motorway. At 20:15 I rang to ask where the order was and they said on the way now. I live 4 minutes away by car. At 20:30 I rang back to ask where it was again! They admitted it was there mistake as the call taker never wrote delivery on the order the second time I rang. Food eventually arrived 1 hour late and not the best tasting. Surely if I was picking it up at 19:45 and an hour later id not arr...
I've used this chippy In the past and it was OK, the last time I used it I got a fish Dinner it Was awful but I give it the Benefit of the Doubt and tried it again this time the chicken ball was all thick soggy Batter and a bit of chicken lukewarm and tasted **** also got salt n pepper chips again awful chips was hard also just warm it cost me £15 with the drivers tip and the lot went In the Bin cheers village chippy for nothing . Avoid this place people now I know why they only accept cash .
I decided to get some takeout from this restaurant. The service was fine, but when I received my chicken with cashew nuts, it tasted and smelled bad. I have ordered this dish from them before and it was fine, so I knew something was not right. I called them to complain, but they insisted that there was nothing wrong with it and asked me what I wanted them to do about it. This kind of response was unacceptable. I will not be ordering from them again and would not recommend it to others.
This is what I just had delivered you tell me what it is ..msuoposed to be salt n pepper squid hard batter and there was no way it was chewable what ever plastic like center it was ..I will be requesting a refund as its gone in the bin not the first time of late which is a real shame. I went to Village Chippy with some friends for the first time and we wanted to grab a bite to eat. It took 30 minutes to get our order correct, and when I finally received my food, it was not what I had ordered. When I went back to complain and check the food, I was told that I was lying about it. The food quality was very poor and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Loved your food, but went and ordered chou main and got the shock of my life. Not had this for a while and you have added water chestnuts to it. WHY it was horrible spoilt the whole meal. Waste of money. Have you got a new cook?? The battered chicken was a bit over done, usually very succulent. Thinking twice now
Eat a lot of Chinese meals and tried different chippy's but this one comes out top every time. Won't be looking for anything better from now on. Found it! Delicious food and pleasant staff. Never had a complaint about anything. Keep up the good work guys x
We knew they would be busy having been closed over the Covid period, so didnt expect it to be as good as they normally are but it was the best we've ever had! Best chippy in Stalybridge by far. Thanks guys <3 Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
