Came to The Village Hotel Liverpool for Sunday Carvery and only have one word.....amazing! Arrived first of all to the Public House which was busy and had a nice atmosphere. We were lead through to the Restaurant by Amy who was very helpful and explained everything to us in regards to the Carvery! The soup was brought to the Table (delicious) and everything else is self service. There was a large selection of Cold starters available which again were delicious and were very well presented. The Carvery was hot and plentiful and presented really well could not fault a single thing! The Apple Pie at the end was a nice touch and lots of other dessert selection including an ice cream machine which...
We have visited this restaurant on numerous occasion and the meal we had this evening was difinatly one of the best There were 4 of us on this occasion we had a selection of the chicken breast,the salmon and the fillet beef Stroganoff. All the meals very nicely presented the chicken meal was one of the best as it had two large breasts and a large portion of stuffing We then followed that with a selection of sweets comprising of the sticky toffee pudding,the lemon cheesecake and the crème brulee Again these were Nicely presented and very good Well worth a visit
I visited this restaurant on Easter Sunday. The staff were wonderful, but the food was just average. The carvery wasn't the greatest - they had run out of mashed potatoes by 3:30pm. Really? The dessert, aside from the supposed "chocolate mousse" (see picture below), was amusing for the kids but lacked presentation. I don't believe presentation was a priority in this case.
The staff were, as always, very attentive and genuinely tried to provide the best experience. However, the menu is somewhat limited, but there are a few tasty options available. The food arrived promptly, was hot, and was quite enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant, with plenty of natural light and a TV showing sports.

ordered a steak to be well done came oozing with blood and sent back 2nd one came out worse same state and also runny fat all over the plate! was disgusting! id have expected a full refund for this but she tried to offer me a free pudding bearing in mind I handnt had a meal!! wont be back!
Chef Rob did an awesome job as well as our servers Food was Top Chef quality. The right combination of citrus and savory and color made this dining experience memorable . The wait staff was lovely and friendly and professional. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant
The restaurant food was fantastic, and I was so full that I felt like I was going to burst. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a nice quiet meal while staying at the hotel.
I stopped by the pub attached to the hotel for a pre-dinner drink. It's no surprise that it was empty. I paid £15.00 for a pint of lager and a large gin and tonic. What a shame. The pub had Sky sports and nice decor.

Look my family here for Sunday roast (would advise that you book if party bigger than 4) they fitted us in which was great, then found out kids eat free on all you can eat carvery! Brilliant food
I ate in there two nights. Both were excellent. Not the norm menus which was great. I would definitely recommend eating here. My mouth is watering at the thought of the food I had.
