Steer clear Absolutely disgusting. Invited by friends to visit the Village Inn for Fish and Chips on a Friday. I was impressed with the number of good reviews and the four stars on TripAdvisor but that was as good as it got. Upon delivery I ask whether it was possible to have some bread and butter and baguette but the answer was no we don’t have that. Now on to the Fish and Chips, it was 80% batter, 20% dried overcooked crumbling fish instead of nice moist white fish. The chips had been twice, three or four times cooked and were disgusting. The Village in was disgusting and the only people who would return must be village idiots How they can call themselves a restaurant or steakhouse is beyo...
Been coming to LA Cala for 8 years and just found this gem of a place. Food was great, swapped my peas for coleslaw, Hugh mistake! It was warm, watery and tasteless. However. The fish WAS AMAZING!!! My partner had steak, which was cooked to perfection, it was very tasty, he asked for 1 egg which they only charged 1 euro. However, he only got 1 small mushroom, when the menu says mushrooms, so the menu needs updating or correcting. Would I go again, 1000% the fish WAS, I would have alternatives on the menu as I have a serious nut allergy and therefore, allergic to peas. Nice place, good service, enjoyed the steak and fish
First came a lady asking orders for drinks with no menus on sight. Then next lady who didnt seem to know anything. Finally menus on the table. Ordered starters and mains for 3. After a long wait came 2 mains fish and chips and when we said no we ordered starters came 1 starter and much later 2. Then the mains which were the same fish and chip plates we already saw. So cold as hell. Didnt offer to make new and not even after we asked for new chips. No salt or taste anyway. One wrong main on the table ie goat cheese sallad instead of pizza. Costed over 60€
We had a Sunday Roast, which could not have been any worse if they tired. 2 small roast potatoes, the meat was not good quality, the gravy was very watery, and very few veg. How can you get something basic, so wrong, will not be returning, especially as there are so many better options close by.
servicio excelente, muy amables y permiten perros, sonntagsessen casero y rico. muy recomendable. volvere. excelent service, very friendly waiter and dog friendly. I will certainly regain this place and I will come back.
Went here today for a few drinks with friends,we decided to have something to eat. We all decided on fish and chips. Without doubt the best I have had in 6 years in Spain. Will be going back again. Faboulous
Eat off the menu fish and chips amazing , also had Sunday roast we had roast pork and roast beef dinners and desserts couldnt fault the service, taste and amount on the plate !!!
Buen sitio para relajarse con una buena pinta a cualquier hora. Buen ambiente con música en vivo fines de semana y donde poder comer.
Typical english bar/restaurant. Great vegetarian english breakfast, friendly owner. Directly at the driving range of the golf course.
