We stopped here after I was tipped off that they rent yaktrax for $5- since this place is pretty much right around the corner from the Eben ice caves, we stopped in and were able to rent them quickly and easily! After seeing the ice caves (which are amazing and well worth the trip!! , we were happy to head back here, turn in our cleats, and grab some food and drinks before driving back to Marquette. Everything tasted great, the prices were good, and everyone was super friendly. Would definitely do this exact same plan again on future trips!
We ordered a thick crust pizza and a burger and fries...we waited over an hour for our food...only to get a thin crust pizza...cuz they ran out of thick crust but didn't bother to tell us...my fries were cold...so she took my burger and fries back and made new fries...by then my burger was cold too...pop is served in small glasses...and you have to wait...and wait for a refill...we had heard the pizza was so good...and we were very dissappointed...they took off our pops...a whole $4!! We won't be back...
So I stop by the Village Pub for a fish which is pretty standard fare for the U.P. of Michigan. I had not been there for quite some time. I have to say, if you want a great meal with a nice home town atmosphere, you're not going to find a better establishment. The beverages are cold and the food is hot. I'm 6'5 360lbs. Im sure I know a thing or two about good food. Stop in and tell them Big Mike on the mic sent cha'...
We were looking for a place to stop and stretch our legs. We thought, why not! It doesn't look like much from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised. We had the philly steak sandwich and it was sooo good! The bartender/waitress was so friendly! We would totally go back!
