We weren't planning to have yum cha for Mother's Day today at this place. We were thinking seafood buffet, due to a change of plan. We decided to give this place one last shot. Arrived at 12.30pm in the queue and waited 15 mins. We had the basics - prawn dumplings, prawn dim sims, custard tarts, chicken feet, pork spare ribs and fried crumbed squid which we ordered because someone took the last plate on the trolley. The squid took 20 mins to arrive and when it did arrived it was soaking in oil, no presentation, and there was more batter than squid, and we noticed the squid was very thin. The bill came to $49.50 for 3 people and they didn't charge for tea like they did on the last visit. All...
Really good food. There was a really long line to get a table at lunch time but the turnover was impressively fast. Searing hot dumplings came out nice and fresh. No complaints on quality of food, however, service is dodgy. Once we were seated, the waitress literally threw our bowls and plates across the table as if we were eating for free like charity. Like come on man, i know you're busy but we're paying for our food here! Trolleys of dishes went right past our table and ignored our calls. Our plates were also taken away before we were done. Pricing was mediocre. So if you're up for good yumcha with rude service, here's your place.
Today we visited this restaurant for yum cha. Service was quick at 2pm. Dishes were tasty, but selection wasn't - May be we came too late. We had the usual - prawn dumplings, broccoli, chives with pork dumplings and all this came to $46 for 3pp. I asked at the checkout when paying do you charge for tea if you don't drinking tea and the girl at the cashier said yes we do, even if you don't drink tea and we also charge for sauce. So, we can now go elsewhere where there are other restaurants in the area that don't charge for these commodities. Just outrageous. This restaurant is not new they just moved to across the road.
A trip for us to Cabramatta by train was quite an adventure, Walking around busy Cabramatta was quite an experience and the Yum Cha, Chinese style, at Vinh Phat excellent.Food on the trays was always hot and service quick, even to the extent of clearing away used dishes or re-filling the tea pot.A good lunch with lots of seafood/prawn type plates and all for $44,00 for two.Recommended, as indicated also by the queue up the stairs to get in, which took about 20 mins, but was well worth the wait. We loved our first venture to this restaurant. Delicious Yum Cha!A wide variety on offer. Staff were excellent, quick, attentive and informative. They explained most of the dishes to us. The restaurant was busy and packed. You can see why! Well worth a visit in my view. Thoroughly enjoyable. We will return and recommend to all.
Friendly staff (compared to most places), nice clean open space. Food (YUMCHA) is a hit and miss. Some days their food is covered in oil and bland, other days they are beyond tasty. Very busy on weekends so make sure you book in advance!
Our family of 26 people came here for yum cha. The food was great and service is good. We were happy and satisfied. The wait was long (it was a Saturday), but worth it. The fresh food keep coming cart after cart. We loved it!
